Itchy Boots

I really enjoyed this episode. Her personality comes through. Even on a rainy day, she's excited, and I don't get the feeling it is a put on for the video. I think she totally loves motorcycling in any form.
Yes I think what you see is what you get. She's very transparent in that respect. No "airs" no mugging for the camera. It's almost as though there is no camera and we're along for the ride. And day or night rain or shine she's very comfortable in the saddle. I like that she occasionally "talks with her hand" while riding down the road.

Many thanks to kiltman for suggesting her channel.

Noraly is quite a good writer. This was only my second visit so I subscribed.

Thank you for subscribing. You won't regret it. I hope.

Made me laugh. Thanks for the link!

My Dutch is getting better as I understood 98% of this. I won’t venture to translate. I think you will be able to follow along.
See this filmmaker in action. She works hard to make sure she gets the shot.
The reaction of her enjoyment is beautiful

Oh and

Good morning Internet!

I LOVE THIS VIDEO. I'll go back and watch it with the subs but really- knowing what she said wasn't al that important. Props to kitlman for his 98%. Respect to all of you who are fluent in two or more languages. In fact i respect EFL people who are fluent in English. Back on point- this was a really fun video.

Missed that. It wasn’t on when I watched it in the early hours of the morning.... I was well into the video before I noticed there wasn’t any subtitles and just went with it.

Noraly said it in a video a loooooong time ago (paraphrasing here), "you've don't have to know their language to understand what's being said, or to communicate".

Here, a photographer shows you how he takes pictures of his Royal Enfield Himalayan, Noraly.

My Dutch is very poor (German is better - but they are NOT anything like the same) but even I could follow along pretty well.

This simply reinforced every opinion I have formed about Noraly - that she is a strong, independent, innovative intelligent, hard-working and very determined person with a huge sense of fun and a lot of guts.

Truly she would be a riot to meet in-person.

Pete

And she's Dutch!
I'm not quite up there with Kiltman, but I could grasp most of what was said.

I didn't understand 98% of the words... but still I got the gist of it.
This behind the scenes speaks to me, because I have done a bit of video, including schlepping around and setting up and managing a "real" videocam, 3 GoPros, tripods, a field recorder, a DJI drone, AND done all the editing.
Setting up shots, checking SD cards, checking and charging batteries, managing the sound editing all the while, keeping an eye that one of the cameras or my bag or some other piece of gear don't "go missing".
Now, get that started, THEN try to participate in the video myself.
It can be EXHAUSTING, but it certainly is TIME-consuming.
Respect - again for this young lady. MUCH respect, having been there.
Oh, and BTW I am bilingual, as well.
Equally fluent in English AND in Sarcasm.
And I have a minor in cursing, but I try not to use it.

Here's another excellent Royal Enfield Himalayan channel. In this video upped this morning, the owner of the bike decides to test it in the snow and ice of backroads Ohio. Not surprisingly, the bike passes the test with flying colours, something you wouldn't even attempt on most other motorcycles as it'd be borderline insane.

These type of channels keep popping up on Youtube, from mostly experienced, older riders who know the exact purpose they have in mind when purchasing this bike. And their reviews are so much better than review channels with riders who have the bike for a few days or hours and then tell you what they like or don't like about the bike, which in the end doesn't matter at all because it might not have been a bike they'd ever consider buying for themselves anyway. Pointless, in other words.

A common refrain is that the bike is a lot of fun, and takes you places other bikes just can't. In this one, a Harley rider now in his 60's finds he has more fun bombing around the backroads and trails than he'll ever have eating up highway miles on a 'Hog'.

So, a big thumb's up from me for his channel and I'll keep looking around for others.

Great episode. Love the use of the GoPro Max 360 camera to show different views. Loved seeing the "Heland Coos"! The Zero is the electric motorcycle Ewan and Charlie should have used in "The Long Way Up".

Anticipating police rider training as well. Our bikes can do it... but can WE?
(I'm pretty close. But I work at it. Just because.)
