How fast have you had your ST?

I've read a lot of posts talking about an electronically governed limit of 120, but I swear I hit 135+ several times on I-80 between Reno and Elko.

I believe the police models in Europe were/are governed to 120. North American P models are not (to the best of my knowledge). Top speed here is governed by the rev limiter. Under ideal conditions (road, wind, fuel, etc) the ST will reach the rev limiter in 5th. DAMHIKT.

Well I feel like a whimp at 115 per the zumo, but I can't keep my glasses from bouncing around and so that keeps me "safe", and since I'm an AARP member that too will keep me reasonable. But it's sure fun!!

new question...how fast have you gone with wifey on board??
160K (100 mph)is about it for me...a little faster with wifey on board though

We hit 125ish.. <indicated> showing a 350z our acceleration one day.. she no longer rides on my bike..she's got her own;).

on a dyno-mometer, as far as you know.

148 indicated.

wind was not a problem, flat calm.

fast enough for me,butt-end was wiggling.

my riding buddy was pulling away from me..that butt-head. concours 14.

cranky.

107 MPH indicated ... packing my daughter ... as we came off the on ramp and entered I-65.

BeaST likes!!

120 mph two up,135 or so indicated solo (on closed private roads of course),the bike is rock steady whatever the speed.
we don't have the roads here that you guys do,except for the new motorways, and there aren't any of them around here,
our roads are mostly 2 lane national primary routes, the longest straight you might get is round 1/2 to 3/4 miles, alot of twists and turns otherwise,
so hitting those speeds takes a bit of nerve,or madness.
I try to ride at the speed limit but the st is so smooth its very easy to slip well past it without noticing.

How true...
On, admittedly numb boring motorways its hard to keep it below 160kph/100mph... like that trottles get drawn open due the engine's intake volume... ;)

The actual maxed out depends on various factors, windscreen, side deflectors, payload, rider size, type of gear worn...

Back in the 90ies I did it once, out of curiousity, engine/carbs freshly tuned, solo, small windscreen, no deflectors but the small 26ltr topcase installed:
above 190kph/118mph the pull starts getting tough... ST ran rock steady... at the end the speedo showed close over 240kph/150mph (estimated 140mph true over ground) before the wind started being an issue on the top box...
WAY more then enough for me... and the road ahead gets really narrow at such rates... :(

On my summer trip last year, my top indicated speed was a hair over 140, and it sill had a bit to go. After that, going 100 seemed slow, let alone trying to keep it somewhere around the speed limit. It was a blast, but I'm not sure I'll ride that fast again anytime soon. Until this summer's trip...

photo of gps in my albums 134 m.p.h.
I need to up daye with new of 143 ;-) !! Steady as she goes...
Oh and as for power....I have nearly had her over backwards riding wheelies twice.

well i have yet to take my pan past 120mph but i did beat the intercity train through the scottish borders while 2 up while the wind was gusting to 40 mph from all directions (must be nuts) or my old touring bike the gsx1100f i did get it upto 165mph a few times decided to calm down n but a slower bike hence the pan and bandit 1200:biker:
