How fast have you had your ST?

Hmm.. maybe your ST needs a tune-up? as they will post a 0-60 of less then 4. Exit the 1/4 mile at 120 too.
I kind of estimated those numbers.... I am so used to riding 2 up it just doesnt have that blinding acceleration the V's did.... I better take it out today with just me and see what happens...

The State Trooper said 102, I said to myself, "I'll take it!".

Two weeks ago, I went on a fantastic trip with 12 Big bikes on my Honda SilverWing 600 cc automatic and on a slight down hill with still power to go, I was at 110 mph and have many times looked down on a straight road and looked at 105 mph on my speed.
Now that I bought a 02 1100, with only 40.000 miles on it, I cant wait to see what it can do after I learn how to change gears.:cop2:

I have done 126 passing a semi throwing rocks. However, when I was at the PD buying my bike, one of the motorcycle cops said they got one of their 1300s (not mine) up to 153 trying to catch up to a pursuit. I'm not sure how true it is, but that's fast.

Most I have had a ST1300 up to was 112mph on my '05, in the desert coming home from a long trip.

On the trip with my sons, I got my 2010 up to 107 once, between Kingman and Oatman.

Both od these were brief moments, after my crash in 1987 at 65mph after getting it down from 85mph, speed just isn't something I push too hard. :eek:4:

I am one in the touring/cruising club. I don't need to go all that fast to enjoy the ride. But I have had my ST1100 up to around 90 once and my CTX1300 up to 85 once just to see how they rode at faster than I usually go. I usually don't ever see over 4000 rpm, 75 mph, and most often run on the highways between 3250-3500 rpm, 60-65 mph, where those little white and black signs say to. Even at 85 mph I was getting around 37-38 mpg. and went up to 85 mpg when I backed off.
