How fast have you had your ST?

132 on the gps with throttle to spare but no extra road to spare. into the 120's regulary. Generally over 100. ALL WITH NO WOBBLE and pilot 2's. the tires have made a big difference.

......and what kind of gear do you have on that is going to save your a** at that speed?

You might just as well be dressed as one of my pirate friends you make fun of at that speed. Sometimes the whole ATGATT escapes my logic when I read posts like this. Do we want to die being "laid back and loud" or "all the gear, all the time"? You still won't be more than a greasy spot on the highway just like all of the dead racoons I see on the road right now.

Thanks though for letting me know what my ST might be capable of.

134mph on the GPS, loaded with camping gear and top box on 395 in northern CA. A little floaty at 120, but smoothed out after that.

I'm not saying anything about sustained super high speeds, but if you're a LEO, I do it in Texas :rofl1:

Sea level, standard day, 280lb pilot:
'08 ST1300 mach 1.47 indicated (rock solid no stability issues)
'98 CB750 mach 1.15 indicated (Oh God how I love dusting off new Harleys on a 12 year old
bike with half the displacement) :D

YEAH Solo!!!!!

You are, and always will be, one of the "Fold"

It doesn't matter how fast it goes, or how much noise it makes...........as long as the knees are in the breeze and you're having fun and making memories.

It did look a lot like this........minus the leathers......

Russ...
Mach 1.47 = 1119 miles per hour
Mach 1.15 = 875 miles per hour
:bow1:

I've had my ST up to 200k's. I found that you have to lower the screen and tuck yourself in behind it. You get less wobbles. I was amazed how easy it accelerated.

Last weekend saw 124 GPS indicated before I ran out of straight road. Not bad for an old ST1100 - It wil go faster just need to find a longer straight road.

Just take it up over a hundred now and then. Not interested in setting any land speed records but I'm kinda impressed by those that are.

I enjoy a nice twisty road more than flat out speed but I don't blame those that want to fly...

had her up to 105 mph :policeST: on the straight run out of road as someone put a roundabout in my way
that was solo. with the other half on 95 mph , as I am not a speed merchant already had 3 HAs
last year .
