How fast have you had your ST?

I just had the BMV tell me that I'm running out of points on my license. A nice little warning letter reminding me that I've gotten 3 tickets in the past year. :(

:slv13:

got seriously busted the other day when I was showing the wife my Zumo setup.
GPS max speed indicated 97.5mph and she zero'ed in on that in a split second!!!:

Dude! :rofl1: I was afraid of that same thing...I learned to reset Max speed pretty often. :D

That is a valid reason for NOT letting the wife look at it, buy her one for herself so she does not play with yours.

Max speed tonight on a group ride was only just over 240km/h, had to show a Triumph not to mess with a Ninja! Shut it down right away, and an unnamed St rider who was with us did not take long to catch up :D

I know that this bike of mine is governed to 300Km/h according to the rules of importing them, (but that will change with the install of the speedo healer.....LOL) but the fastest I have had this one so far is about 285Km/h. Fast enough, for now.

Have to admit, the unnamed St had no problems keeping up with the group of sport bikes we had out tonight. Opened a few eyes, everyone was impressed and now are thinking. Thanks for coming out, that was a fun ride.

Here is a fast black ST on my right side, taken just a few hours ago.

January 1 2009 1133 MST. 127 MPH on the GPS in a short spurt west of Sedalia CO. No wobble, not a thing but smile. That's with the dog and cat in the kennel on the back box. Gotta love these things.

Visited 137 GPS riding back to the farm from Moonshine. I was pushing into a decent head wind and think it might have had a lil more, but certainly not over 140. Ran out of power before she tached out. I like having the power to pass in a hurry, but try to keep cruising speeds below 80mph.

The GPS said... Max Speed 107 mph but I have no idea exactly when it happened on the ride.

That is disappointing and pleasing all at the same time! I have enough driving time on the Autobahnen to know damn well that 100 mph/160 kph is... fast even when you get used to it! To think I could hit that speed here and not realize or be able to appreciate it is wondering. Says something for sure about the stability of the scoot! I think I know when - up the ramp and onto the Pike and had to hit it kind of hard to merge and not be run over....

The purpose of the ride, I thought, was trying to calibrate the speedo against the GPS, knowing there was some kind of substantial error there. There was! 60 mph constant on the Garmin showed 67.5 on the speedo. A further info bit is there was a 1% error on the odometer... Point3 miles off in 30 GPS Miles.

The ST goes faster than I really want to go. Luckily I have been able to keep it under 100 on several occasions. When I had my Blackbird it was the other way around... Now that was scary fast!

I had the ST-1300 up to 110 indicated about 15 minutes out of the showroom on I-10 East between mile markers 166 and 173. I've had my Sprint ST up to 145 indicated (it was too windy to push it) on my secret test track using the bike's top speed recall and the fastest I've been on a bike is somewhere around 165 on a 2004 GSX-R-750
As long as you're able to tuck in, going fast ain't much of a big deal,...going fast on a naked bike is totally different ballgame. Any speed above 85 on a Triumph Speed Triple feels like you are going at least warp 3.

on the 1100, flat out one quiet morning on the Hamburg Autobahn, indicated just below 150, tends to read about 10% over, so say 135mph. Too fast for comfort, but got to work early that morning.

72, indicated.

With less than 2 hours TT on the bike, I had no idea how quickly it got that fast. In a 35 mph zone.

Had Ol Mercury (it is the quick silver) up to 684mph with no weave or pull.
Beat that blue, red, black, or even white.

I'm going to go for the big M1, I'll put the shield down this time.
If anyone in the NEPA area hears a boom, I succeeded.

Had the ST1100 up to 100, and that was fast enough. In my younger years I had my XS1100 up to 125, and my old Venture up to 125. I had a 62 Vette when I was 18, that had a 308 rear. It would do the speedometer (160). Now I'm not sure exactly how fast that really was, but the Hi Po Mustang that was trying to keep up, couldn't belive all he saw was my tail lights going away in the distance. We all do crazy things when we are young, and only have God to thank that we are still here. I had a friend of mine that was a crazy driver when he was young, tell me he rode so fast his angel got out!
