Still alive - Austin construction and traffic liked to killed me yesterday.
Managed to make it to Carlsbad Caverns and Roswell.
Now I'm dealing with the New Mexico fires - life is an adventure!

Hey Uncle Phil. No idea the plan date that you would be running I-90 through Montana, Wyoming and South Dakota but I will running to Washington state on July 17th (Wednesday morning) with plans to land at my Mom's late Thursday night or early Friday morning in Eastern Washington. Keep an eye out for a black 94 ST1100 a Nelson-riggs seat gear bag (the bike in my profile).

I will be riding for 2 additional weeks once I end my visit with Mom! Have safe enjoyable ride Uncle Phil look forward to possible a cup of coffee possibly.

Folks it is worth the trip to hwy 191 to see this mine. Pictures cannot approach seeing it in person. The huge trucks look like Tonka toys when they are down in the mine hauling rocks and ore. Here is how big those Tonka tires are and I'm 6'3".
Pretty sure whoever conceived the movie Avatar went by this place beforehand.

The trucks look like miniature Tonka trucks and the pickup trucks look like ants from that overlook.

I did no wi-fi last night as I was having a great time with Mark and Chris at their lovely place.
Got the 'tour' of the area in a nice air conditioned truck!!!
Started Highway 93 this morning - with a bit of a 'lecture'
What was interesting to me is you'll notice the bike was not in the road blocking anything (inside the yellow and white lines).
And I was standing on a wide cement curb divider (not in the road) taking the picture.
I have encountered various State Troopers over the years and they are usually quite professional and cool.
This feller was none of that but I escaped without a ticket.
