Prayers said for you my friend. I hope all goes well.
Wow, hope your health issues get safely resolved and am glad you do not live in one of the valleys near Waverly. Saw the pictures on the weather channel this morning. How devastating !Yes, our Holler is up on a ridge so if we got flooded, Nashville would be under 100 feet of water.
But I do appreciate you checking in on me!
Most of the serious stuff was about 50 miles west of us as the crow flies in the Waverly area.
Good luck Uncle Phil, wishing you a speedy and full recovery.Well, artery surgery on the 8th of September and the 20th of September.
And visit with the shoulder doc tomorrow for some cortisone shots in the shoulders and to schedule the left replacement.
I almost made it two years without a visit to the surgical suite.
Nobody told me old age was gonna be this much fun!
I think all my repairs probably add up to about that amount by now ....You will be 6 million dollar man next year. All the best for a speedy recovery.
I guess if we knew we were gonna last this long, we'd taken better care of ourselves!Wish you the best with your upcoming surgery. For the last year and a half, I have been thru prostate surgery, radiation treatment, hormone shots and now I have a compressed nerve in my neck that is causing numbness and pain in my left shoulder as well as some tremors. I am scheduled for a series of shots for this malady. So I haven't done much riding this year. Getting old is so much fun!
I heard that! LOL. Keep up the good fight, my friend.I guess if we knew we were gonna last this long, we'd taken better care of ourselves!
As long as they can still make repairs on these older models like us, we should be reasonably okay.
I told somebody the other day that if I was a car, I'd be in the junkyard parted out by now!
This is genuinely one of my favorite responses when dealing with youngsters.I guess if we knew we were gonna last this long, we'd taken better care of ourselves!
Yeah, but that 'earning' process is sometimes rather painful and expensive! This is genuinely one of my favorite responses when dealing with youngsters.
Also -- getting older ain't for sissies.
I'm reminded of the conversation Kevin Costner has with his longtime bartender friend, from The Guardian. The point is made beginning at 0:53 in this clip:
Getting Old
Now that would be a scary thought!Careful what you ask for, @ChriSTian_64 .
Next thing you know there may be 6 UP's running around, just like his 1100s.
Or, a meticulously restored and highly prized model. Good luck with your surgeries, Phil, and a speedy recovery.I told somebody the other day that if I was a car, I'd be in the junk yard parted out by now!
Come to Tennessee and I'll show you!How can a holler be up on a ridge?
