Here We Go Again - News From The Holler

I like to remind my GF, although there's some body damage, they're all original miles.
Like I always say - "It ain't the age, it's the mileage that counts!"
I guess I've just had some pretty rough miles along the way though. ;)
I figure if I keep getting new replacement parts, I can start calculating my 'average age' based on the age of all the components. :think1:

I hope everything goes well with the surgeries UP. Your shoulders probably wore out from giving too many sweaty hugs . Take care of yourself my friend.
Mike

Hope your surgery day isn`t on your B`day. Take care and get well, my friend!
No, but my 'pre-cert' into the hospital is!
Fortunately it is in the morning, so I can enjoy a whole bunch chocolate stuff afterwards.
Growing up, I think I only had one birthday party as we were pretty poor.
So when I got out on my own, I made myself a promise -
On my birthday I am gonna have chocolate cake with chocolate icing, a big bowl of chocolate ice cream and a big glass of whole milk to wash it down.
If it kills me, I'll die with a big smile on my face and the undertaker will say 'I'll make money on him, he's still smiling!'. ;)

Is that milk plain white milk or some gooooood chocolate milk?

Well, about 2 1/2 weeks ago as I was exercising I felt like I threw another blood clot in my left leg again. The old excruciating leg cramp came back with a vengeance. I was determined to go to OhioSToc anyway and I did and I am glad that I did. Today my vascular doctor confirmed my self diagnosis - the bypass he did back in November has completely closed up (they don't understand why) and looks like I am in store for another leg bypass. This is while being on Eliquis - the 'Lexus' Blood Thinner (you can rent a nice Lexus for what it cost a month). These clots seem to be coming from the aneurysm repair that was done back 2016. In this surgery, they rip your leg open from the bottom of your calf muscle to your groin, remove a vein, flip it around, then hook it around the blockage into the artery. And yes it is as unpleasant as it sounds and not an experience that I really wanted to go through again. ;) So if you are of the praying persuasion, this old tired hillbilly would certainly appreciate your prayers.
My deepest wishes. Sad for your suffering. Keep fighting.

The good thing is that so far nothing is too life-threatening at this point (unless the artery aneurysm fixes goes sideways).
It's the frequency of the repairs and the downtime that is a bit frustrating.
At least I made it 18 months without any surgeries so I am thankful for that!
