H4 LED - 2018 Evitek, F2 replaces G6

I wonder how well "Cindy" speaks english when it comes to a warranty claim? I bought mine from Amazon for two reasons. The first was that I'm impatient. The 2nd is that IF and when either lamp takes a poop, I'm dealing with Amazon or a seller on Amazon and not someone who is 12 hrs ahead of me every time I send an email.

Thinking if hers is more economic Perhaps buy 3 then your spare holds up while she gets a replacement to you. I might just do that. Repeat business and referrals are important to vendors all over the world

The bulbs are generally cheaper when ordered directly from Cindy, since there's no 'middleman'. The tradeoff is shipping takes longer, sometimes a lot longer.

I should have my wife link up via weibo or a chat app. She is Chinese and might be able to help us speed things up. Send me the address via pm and I’ll get to work on bridging the language barrier

I think that's been mentioned before and I thought it was a good idea. Don't know that anybody's mentioned if they can be had singly. But one spare is a good idea for any type of bulb.

Well that could be interesting. A group buy discount code would be very handy.

I've install a set of F2s on my 03 1100. I'm adding several other farkles and have not yet ridden at night, but I'm impressed with the output that I see in the garage!

Finally got mine installed last week. I love the fine horizontal line of the low beam. I’ve raised it as far as I dare and no one has flashed the hi beams at me yet. And speaking of hi beams, all I can say is wow. I can see Bambi coming from way off. Awesome set of bulbs.

Sorry. Awesome set of light emitters. Can’t really call them bulbs anymore.

Days are getting shorter, in two weeks we will fall back and I am actually looking forward to riding home in darkness during the winter months. The F2 H4 leds in my ST1300 will cut through this darkness. They work extremely well in the ST1300 headlight with its flat wide beam pattern. It really lights up the road evenly as well as the sides of the road on low beam with very little glare to on coming traffic. The F2 high beam will punch almost a mile down a dark road. It is amazing that small details make a big difference in the performance of lighting. I do have some aux lighting on my bike but I find that they are now unnecessary. If you are thinking of upgrading your lighting the F2 H4 LED is currently the one to get. IMHO.....

My next task. Saw some on Amazon...HIKARI ULtra LED, Philips Lumileds 12,000lm 6K. Anyone have any input on these verses the Eviteks?

Almost finished a full season on the F2's,,, and still very pleased with the performance. About 22,000km's,,, with hot days and cool nights,,, mostly modulated on the Kisan unit. No temperature problems so far,,, even though the fans pulse with the beam. I set up the modulation on low beams,,, for a number of reasons,, and the result is very effective,, owing to brilliance of the LED beams. I would buy the same units,, even if they burned out tomorrow. They are that good,,,, cheers, Cat'

If you wan to see some amazing light output check out the Cyclops 10.0 or higher really amazing lights.
Those are some interesting bulbs. Two features that jump out at me are the 5600K color temperature (white light, not halogen yellow or LED blue) and that for $2.00 you can get them in the correct base for North American STs. No modding an H4 base. Not that it's an actual problem but it eliminates the 'to shim or not to shim'. That is the question often asked.

I suggest that you compare the F2 to the Cyclops 10.0 led, I am not here to bash other products
The 10.0 maybe better suited to certain driving situations than the F2.
But so that you can understand the differences, compare the placement and shape of the leds to the original halogen bulb.
Notice that the high beam filament is slightly lower that the low beam filament on the halogen bulb and the F2, this offset is how the high beam projects above the low beam......
The 10.0 does not have this offset..... so it puts too much light in the foreground, which limits your ability to see far down the road....

Go out on a very dark straight road where you could see one mile. This is where the differences will stand out.
Well lit up city streets, tight winding roads, heavy bumper to bumper traffic, off road in the woods, both lights will seem to be similar.
Most people will miss the subtle differences. I am an Electrical Engineer, I have been doing search and rescue for 39 years. When the first white leds became available long ago I retrofitted my D cell flashlights with LEDs before they were on the market. I have a critical need, since I am a master man tracker, to have good lighting that will last all night long. I have been tinkering with LED lights since. As a Photographer I understand the effects of flat lighting and modeling lighting. The deficiency of headlights is that they are inline with our eyes and create very little shadows. Adding low fog lights adds shadows that help our night time perception of depth...... I could go on.

There is way more to lighting than having the brightest light that just puts light everywhere.
If you go back in this thread there are a lot of other sources now for the F2 bulb.....

Waiting for the smoke to clear and the roads to open, so I can ride Mulholland Hwy and its side roads....
open, open open ....

I am clear of the fire area but I know many friends that narrowly missed losing their homes, It has been a hard week for all, I was part of a crew that had to go in and count some of the losses for fema - It was not fun to see that!...

Wow, a lot of choices! I'd like to order a set of these H4 F2 LEDs for my 1300. I prefer to order from Amazon so I don't have to wait a few weeks (I don't mind paying a few dollars more). I'd also rather deal with Amazon in case there's an issue. I see brands Safego, Katana, JDM, and V16 to start. Are they all the same (and made by Evitek with different names)? The prices do vary somewhat. If they're all the same, I might as well go with the cheapest one. Thanks in advance.

Yes from what I've seen. All the brands that say F2 show the same bulb. spiderman302 has confirmed in one instance that two different branded F2 bulbs were the same bulb.
