Funny!

My parents had a 32" Sony high resolution TV 30 - 35 years ago (model name, don't remember???).

This thing weighed 140 - 150 pounds, very awkward to pick up and move, back breaker.

Yup. I had one too, in a basement condo and later my basement rec room. Heavy as hell, took two people to lug it out when it was replaced.

My last 4:3 TV was a Mitsubishi 40" CRT, it weighed over 200lbs, maybe closer to 250. It had massive handles on each side so two people could pick it up to move it.

CNN journalist heard about a very old Jewish man who had been going to the Western Wall to pray, twice a day, every day, for a long, long time.

So she went to check it out. She went to the Western Wall and there he was, walking slowly up to the holy site.

She watched him pray and after about 45 minutes, when he turned to leave, using a cane and moving very slowly, she approached him for an interview.

"Pardon me, sir, I'm Rebecca Smith from CNN. What's your name?"

"Morris Feinberg," he replied.

"Sir, how long have you been coming to the Western Wall and praying?"

"For about 60 years."

"60 years! That's amazing! What do you pray for?"

"I pray for peace between the Christians, Jews, and the Muslims."

"I pray for all the wars and all the hatred to stop."

"I pray for all our children to grow up safely as responsible adults and to love their fellow man."

"I pray that politicians tell us the truth and put the interests of the

people ahead of their own interests."

"And finally, I pray that everyone will be happy."

"How do you feel after doing this for 60 years?"

"Funny you should ask,

I’m starting to think I'm talking to a brick wall!"

Not to mention the heavy glass used in the CRT picture tubes.
Back in the late 80's/early 90's a friend purchased what I believe is the largest CRT TV ever sold to the public. Mitsubishi 40". We were all gym rats back then and even with 4 very strong young men we barely, I mean barely got that beast upstairs.
