Donald Masters - R.I.P.

Like so many I was checking several times a day for any updates and as the days dragged on I feared for this outcome. Thank God for the closure! I believe never knowing would be more heart wrenching. Time and time again I'm continually blown away by the people on this forum and how they pull together for each other! Truly amazing!
To Donald's family, I'm very sorry for your loss. It's obvious that Donald is our loss as well.

RIP Donald

I never met him, I never knew him. But I feel a profound loss.

My heart goes out to his family.

Ride on Donald.

I had hoped that the outcome of this would be different, but sadly that is not so. Ride On, Donald.

But on a positive note, it's great to see our "community" in action.

My sincere condolences to family and friends.
I am impressed with the "Brotherhood" of riders, it makes one feel proud to be a member.
Rest and Ride in Peace, Brother Donald,
JD

It is my suggestion as many bikes/riders as possible escort Donald home to his final resting place. He would like that.

And perhaps oneday, we have a Memorial Ride from Orinfo to Denver via Yellowstone in his honor, and complete his ride for him.

This is a great idea and a wonderful way to Honor Donald. I think we should contact the Patriot Guard Riders I know they would help in some way to honor this Motorcyclist and Veteran. My condolances to the family and friends i can't add anything that hasn't already been said. We have lost too many good people this year.

Rest In Peace Donald and ride forever.
My thoughts and prayers go out to your family and friends.
My big thanks you to all who gave it their best.

At this point, it is a family affair, they have let me know there will be a private memorial and also a public one where those that wish to can attend.

I do believe a marker at the actual location would be a nice memorial, kinda like what was done for KentS.

I have been following this 10 times a day or more since it turned up on the gl1800 page.
We just joined here so we could express our sincere sympathy to Donald's family, after so many days of reading we feel he was a part of our family too.
Also the many, many people that volunteered their time, money, and food, you will truly be blessed.
I know of two woodworking forums that we belong to have been following along and have posts about him being found on there too. Many unknown people were sure saying a lot of prayers.

Pegs down!! He is now riding free on the great highway. You have my thoughts and prayers.

I have been off the site for a few days and I am very saddened to come back and see this... with all the great fellow riders looking for him, I just knew he was going to be found. Prayers to the family and friends, and did not know Donald, except that he was another brother on the road.

I read most every post hoping for the best.

Very sorry to read this news. Condolences to the family.

My condolences to Donald's family and friends.
Rest in peace fellow traveler.

I have been on the very road he was found... Sad,,, sad news... It makes me and others realize that our taking a solo ride CAN,,, effect others,,, and we can all take steps to letting others know where we are...

I wish I knew you Donald,,, but just because we never met,,, we are still brothers in a way...

Sorry to learn of this tragic outcome. Sympathies to Donald's family and all who knew him. It was my prayer that one of the searchers would find him well. God bless you guys that put it out there.
