Delkevic Exhaust Installed, Nice

Great review; I ordered the same oval / straight end as you did. Your review helped along with seeing a similar set in person.
Thanks! (anxiously waiting for that delivery)

I just installed a set on my '06. No baffles. Sounds great, less weight and I like the look. All for a killer price.

For some reason, I think the strap adds a sporty element to the look of the bike. Kind of a contrast to all the perfect Honda stuff. Well, that's just me maybe.

I also like the strap, and it allows you to move and twist the cans to get them just right ! With a fixed mount your at the mercy of the mount ond hoping it,s right on the money, or your shiming and tweeking ! JMHO !

Speaking from experience...when passing road critters and DEER, I do notice the OEM stock exhaust on the ST does not scare them much. I can often ride past clusters of deer without much disturbance. However, with other bikes with aftermarket exhausts (even with baffles in) the deer become much more skittish. If you're traveling down a narrow two-lane road and the deer hear that rumbling getting louder as the bike approaches, you might be increasing the chance of a animal collision.

I just install Delkevics 14" carbon slip on exhaust and very happy with them. I kept the baffles in and like the sound when running at low RPM. The whole installation took about 45 minutes start to finish and included having to pull off the left side twice to straighten the silencer out a bit more. The carbon finish is a bit rough unlike Two Brothers that has a varnish finish on it. I am looking around the market for a high heat varnish finish to apply. Overall, I am very happy with them and glad I went with the shorter exhaust.

I have had mine on for about 2500 miles now. I run them with and without the baffles. With for longer rides with wife and without when riding with my HD friends. Fit and finish is still spot on.

OK, you guys convinced me! But, I'm going to buy the triangular shaped ones, they shave off 1.1 lbs each over the oval ones. Thanks for all the helpful info and vids!

Hi All, I just installed my Delkevic 17" tri-ovals yesterday! I was extremely impressed with the quality, the welds, the polished stainless finish. Amazing for the price. I tried to figure out where they are made and the box just says Delkevic UK so maybe made in the UK? Couldn't find a "made in China" tag anywhere. Regardless, they are very high quality. Sound is as reported, a nice muted growl with the baffles installed, a VERY NICE growl with them out. This is the way the bike was meant to sound! Per the original poster, I will probably run with baffles in while riding with my wife, and out solo. Installation was pretty easy, other than dealing with the factory exhaust clamps at the header. With only 20,000 miles on the bike, one of the bolts sheared off and the other three were very rusty and corroded. Got rid of all that mess and used two "made in USA" stainless worm drive hose clamps per side to clamp the Delky mid pipe to the header outlet. I also replaced the stock hanger bolt with a nice 13mm stainless bolt. Thanks Ace Hardware for having everything I needed. I have bought a lot of different exhaust systems for a lot of different bikes--Yoshimura (at least twice), Two Brothers, MiVV, M4, Muzzy and now Delkevic. I am as pleased with this system--if not more so--than any of the others in terms of quality, fit and finish, and ease of installation. Very highly recommended. The folks at Delkevic in Colorado were good to work with as well. Delivered as promised when they said it would arrive.

Just went with the Delkevic 14" round. I like the end of these as they're more trumpet like. I took the baffles out and love these on my sweet St. A lot more go in the lower gears and sounds like a hotrod ford if you really go. Just a nice rumble cruising. Exactly as I hoped. Maybe not for all but me all good!

How about a side shot photo, and maybe a video to demonstrate the sound level (from a side perspective of the bike about a couple car-lengths away)

Purchased full 17 Tri Oval with the oval tips. I will post photos when I pick it up tomorrow.

I went with the 14" Delkevic's, look and sound great, awesome rumble. Maybe a little louder than I wanted. If I was doing over I'd probably go with the 17" ones.

So......I put the Dels back on again. Third time. They're basically new still. I ride em for a little while and decide again that they're noisy and take em off.
My question is.....I have to assume the packing is in there.
The pipes have less than 3000 mi.
I was going to open them up and check and/or repack em.
And I know what the answer is.
Get used to them or return to the washing machine sound.
Can I pack them more
AND would the results be worth all that work????

Thanks Guys.

PS Still haven't dropped her...However at 61yrs old, she's getting heavier lol
