Delkevic Exhaust Installed, Nice

Can't decide, stainless or carbon fiber ??? Less weight and less to clean, can't think of a downside other than price. Any comments or suggestions ??
Thanks,
Bill

The only thing I worry about CF is that it may not be as durable as SS. I was always afraid that sunlight would break it down. But it may not. I don't think you would see much weight difference between the two. The SS is fairly light.

Go with the Stainless , 13lbs total compared to almost 24 lbs for the stockers ,plus they are polished and shine like chrome ! Check out pics in my album !

My only complaint with both my previous ST1100 and my current ST1300 has been that they sound like I'm riding a Kenmore. Just installed my Delkevic's this morning (about 1 hour) and couldn't be more pleased. Aside from sounding great, they look great too! Fit and finish is exceptional. As for the wife, well she's just confused about the whole subject!

Wonder if your wife and mine are related??

Thanks for the input,
Being a bit bull headed, I went against some of the good advise that was given and I ordered the Delkevic 18" Carbon Silencer Set Exhaust - Honda ST1300 from the Delkevic web site, saved over the ebay price. I just really liked the carbon fiber look on the black ( fastest color ) ST ! Stainless was probably the smartest way to go, oh well, we will see.

Does anyone have a pic of the 13 inch Tri-Oval's installed on an ST1300? I like the idea of shorter (less weight) and it would look more "normal" if you rode the bike without the saddle bags attached.

Ok, what is the sound like? Are they louder than stock, or just have a better sound? I'm not iinto loud, My 83 Magna has a 4 into 1 that is too loud for me. But if the sound is nice, I might consider swapping out stock.

here is some pics of the stainless tri-ovals.

Got my new carbon fiber 18" cans yesterday, will attempt to do the install tonight. Hope I don't screw anything up !!
Then.... with some help from my kids I will try to post some photos.

Installed the 14 inch Ovals last night. Took the baffles out and rode the bike about 100 yards. Sounds good and definitely not too loud. I'll update with pics later.

YouTube clip & pics. I like the shorter look, but most here seem to like the length that's closer to the stock exhaust can length. No Baffles...Ever!

Those look really nice and sound great Sammy. Thanks for the pics and video. I might have gone that route if I had seen your clip before I ordered the TB. I have the TB with the P1X tip and they are reasonably quiet but still sound good. The 14" look much sportier on the bike and not too short IMHO.

Pics please!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Sorry, been busy.
Did get the pipes on.... now it sounds like the Jetson mobile on steroids!!!
Deep growl under acceleration.
I will get my kids to help me post the pictures. I think the carbon fiber looks pretty good on the black bike.

Rode today about 100 miles and the bike really isn't that loud compared to my unbaffled KTM 950 Twin. Nice growl that smooths out once your rolling at a steady 4000ish rpm. Can still have a conversation with the windshield fully up wearing half helmets as well.
