You are loosing it but that's a totally different subject.. oops, I answered.

Re: CTX 1300

Honda could drop the ST never to produced. Some people might adapt the CTX to replace it. Dropping one model and marketing another is not the same as replacing. The ST is neither a sport bike nor touring bike but a blend of the two. The CTX is neither a sport bike or touring bike or a blend of the two. It's more a cruiser hybrid a "bagger" that could be turning into a something approaching a sport-touringish blend depending on the rider.

:hyp1::think1::hyp1::hyp1:I think I've had too much Guinness .............

I like the way it looks. I'll add that I'm sure it can corner as fast as I want it to, or care to. Honda makes great machines. I hope they sell really well so that I can pick up a used one if a few years. :)

I wonder how the cruiser crowd will accept the George Jetson sound of the motor. My guess is they will put straight pipes on the bike to cover up the engine noise.

Well, I know I'd enjoy a good slice of pie.

Not sure how much I'd enjoy that CTX.

So, maybe, if I bought the Pie, and they threw in a CTX with the Pie instead of the other way around… I'd be demonstrating good sense, good fiscal logic, and… good taste.

And yet if I were a betting man I'd bet that 2014 will see more of those CTXs sold than STs (new). I'd further bet if dealers put one with a taller windshield on the showroom floor a lot of naysayers would change their mind. Even without pie.

If you're gonna buy a pie from Honda you better check the MSRP first.

Not sure how much longer I can continue to eat pie made by Honda, but for now I'll keep eating it.

Yamaha is making FJR pie that looks really good to me. Wish I could get them to make a slightly smaller pie, one with three cylinders displacing 847cc and an FJR-style chassis...I'm sure they can figure out that recipe, just a matter of whether they're up to the baking.

Honda is making cobbler ... disorganized pie ... Honda Quiche. They're mixing typical ingredients in a pan and baking it, trying for something new. I'm in the mood for new pie, not broken eggs. Honda, I'm about ready to quiche you goodbye.

In November I scratched an itch I've had since sitting on a BMW F800GT at the motorcycle show, I stopped in and took a test ride. Impressions.........a lot less weight, great sounding motor, handled very well, electronic suspension was neat......overall I liked the bike. But......when I rode home it became apparent to me why I like my ST so much. Smooth motor, seamless driveline, great wind protection and ergonomics. The grass may be greener with each "latest and greatest" but my bike does all that I ask of it and does it well, it's a keeper. Just my opinion and we all know what those are worth. If I had limitless funds and a bigger garage.....................

I'll be going, as I do every year, to the latest and greatest bike show in Calgary January 10,11, and 12 with a group of riding buddies but I'm pretty sure I'll have the same reaction as I've had the last 3 or 4 years.Nothing worth getting into payments for. The best option on my '04 ST1300? It's paid for! Is the Honda ST1300 too heavy, maybe but it's pretty darn stable in a cross wind. Coincidence? Is it fast enough? Yes! Can I pack enough stuff for a 2 week tour? Absolutely! Happy New Year folks ! I'm sticking with what brought me here. Cheers Marty
