Where did you ride today?

Just went out to fill the tank after my trip to LOCSTOC. The gas station is 1.2 miles away and ended up with about 26 miles today. Since Costco Gas has LONG lines at all the pumps during the day I went at 8:40 pm (they close at 9) and they had a few open pumps when I got there. So just a short twilight ride after filling the tank. Calculated that I got 53.6 mpg average for the entire trip (LOCSTOC). That included a low of 49 mpg with a wicked head wind the entire tank during the first leg going out, and a high of 56 mpg with only a side wind coming home.

Rode early today while it was still below 95 degrees. I rode from Pensacola to Navarre Beach. The Navarre causeway is where about 150 Black Skimmers nest yearly right next to the road. Notice the longer lower bill on the Skimmers for catching fish as they fly skimming the water. Also least Terns nesting in the areas along the beach. I turned and rode north 45 miles or so up into the Blackwater River State Forest. Just north of Harold FL. is the Harold NOLF (navy outlying filed). Lots of choppers always doing touch and go's there.

140 mile loop up north of Stockton and south to Loxley than home to Pensacola. It got hot and I got hot. 100 in Lower Alabama and felt like 115.

Not today, but a few days ago. Thanks to the vagarities of hotel internet, I was not able to post this until now.
Top of St Joe river road. On the continental divide between MT and ID. Snow was gone once we got down a couple of miles and then it wa 80 miles of no traffic and twisties.

I was riding that last year, it was awesome!

It's June 26 and finally got out on over a 100 mile ride. Been a long crappy spring followed by waiting for new rubber and repairs. Adds up to not alot of ride time. Just a beautiful day running around SE Wisconsin. Rode two more Wisconsin Rural Roads. The second said paved! Is that what you called that! Need an adventure bike for that one. Rode for 5 hours and logged 200 miles on my new tires. Battlaxe T-32. Oh my those are nice. Got home got the look from the wife. Now time to give it a nice bath and relax.

Took off with James (jtvisions) to Mt Baker and Heather Meadows. Artist Point is still closed. I'm not sure if the DOT is really plowing it, or just waiting for the sun to melt the snow off the last portion of the road.

But there are still lots of gorgeous views at Heather Meadows where the ski resort is.

That's Upper Bagley Lake covered in snow still at the bottom of the cirque. The dark spot is some rocks.

Lower Bagley Lake. One of the mountains in the background is in Canada. Verizon sent me a text saying my phone could now be used in Canada. That's just how close we are to the border from here.

Took a nice ride through SE Wisconsin this morning. Found a few new favorite roads. Hit a few rustic roads then took a long wonderful ride along the Kettle Moraine Scenic road. Or as I call it the road. Just over 200 miles of fun. The Water Tower behind me says it all. If you live in the area, like 50 miles just to get there for me I suggest the ride. Oh I have seen a black 1300 around route 45 and Washington and also on Hunt Club rd. I'm the Gurnee area the last week. So hi if your hear.

ST1300 number 4 finally out on the road after not being ridden since the ride home from buying it in Iowa in November 2020.
Today I rode 265 miles round trip to eat lunch and take a nap with sweetheart working out of town this weekend.
Here it is after a wheel swap with the 03A Silver Spare.
