Where did you ride today?

I'm visiting my home town of Fort Walton Beach and Eglin AFB. Rode here yesterday and today did a loop to Milton, Blackwater, Baker to Eglin.

I learned to ride a Honda S90 48 years ago in that driveway. I stopped to take a picture and met the current owner who had just sold his GL1500. He gave me a pair of Aerostich Ropers! Off to the Armament Museum in the afternoon.

Very cool to visit your childhood home. I stopped by the house I grew up in in Los Ángeles. The house was greatly changed but the neighborhood looked the same. Now that I own STella I’ll be visiting that neighborhood on two wheels :)

I was able to get out today and ride a 100 mile loop, which makes it official that I rode at least 100 miles each month this year. It was 34 degrees but the roads were clean and dry. A first for me on a street bike, back in my dirt riding days we just studded the tires, dressed heavier and rode all year. Looks like next week we could get up to 40 so it ain't over yet!

I lived down the street.....this house belonged to the family of a friend and it was his dad's S90 that we rode up and down the driveway. We weren't allowed on the street or the sidewalk but the driveway was our oyster. My friend Rick still rides today as well.

OK, I rode to work this morning. Will ride home tonight. Likely the ride home will be longer than the ride to work as it usually is. Usually 12.5 miles to work and 20 miles home at least. Interstate not bad in the early morning but I simply must avoid it for the afternoon ride home. Snow flurries were falling and temp was +24F. Scoot performed flawlessly as did the Gerbing gloves.
Expecting same temps going home.

Well I did ride today, just over 300 miles of some great roads, I did hit some snow and ice and had to turn around. I still had a great day!

Rode a short distance to a local park to watch the Falcon9 launch and they postponed it.... Ran into the guy that owned this 1982 GL1100 in pristine condition with 179,000 miles on it. He said he bought it new... Beautiful bike.

Now that's what you call getting your monies worth. Good on him. A good example to all in this throw away world. I wonder what he'll think when he gets used to it.
Upt'North.

Rode a short distance to a park to watch the Falcon 9 launch and the booster return for a soft landing at Cape Canaveral AFB. Quite a site, particularly if you have never seen it before. Came back home and pulled the nail out of the rear tire on my Goldwing, so now have to pull the wheel and take the tire off and patch it. Fun! Fun!

Did you see the stage one booster malfunction? Water landing!

I was about a mile away. I saw that the booster landed, but couldn't tell if it hit it's target or not. Understand from news reports that it landed in the water off of the Cape...... They will recover it.....
Where can you get a mile away from LP 40 and get away with it? I used to live down there and the closest a non-VIP could get was on the causeway about 7.5 miles away. I saw launches from Apollo 17 night launch to one of the last Shuttle launches and usually watched from Titusville 12 miles away.
