Where did you ride today?

You gotta be very close to 50k for the year now.......
Close but not yet. And you are doing pretty good this year yourself!

Anyway the years goal is 60! 50 was the easy make. 44 was the old record per year for me, that has been beat.

Edit, I updated it, 47365.

Ah well, so much for going to the London Sidecar Club Rally. Set off at 10am today for a nice leisurely bimble across to the other side of London, approx 140 miles.

Stopped at Beaconsfield Services for coffee and a bacon bap, all going great. Back on the outfit hit the M40 roundabout and..... crunch, graunch and Chris said did you miss a gear dear..... unfortunately not, something a bit more serious

No drive in the middle of the road, managed to paddle to the side of the road then Chris acted as the engine to get us to the truck park.
Sounds like either the shaft or bevel box decided to give up, and after trouble free Dutch (800 miles in May) and Scandinavian (2,500 miles in Septemember) trips too.

Still, the bonus was the sun was shining and we could get coffee and use the little boys room

Just arrived home after recovery with a brilliant driver who was expecting to collect a motorcycle, but found a weird outfit and trailer. He was so relaxed about it and great company en-route home.

Gotta keep smiling :ukflag1:

Yesterday, out to Cedar Hills Mc Minnamin's, from Milwaukie, out to Aloha to drop of some Minion graphics at one of my trivia team mates place, and then killed the tank of gas. About 100+ miles of just get out of the house and beat the growing case of hodophbia that's been incubating for about 2.5 years, back a bit. Good ride. Came home with a clearer head...
Filled the tank with one bar flashing. $25.00 even.

We can't see the article without a subscription to WSJ.

But by complete chance while I was staying with my mom in Augusta Ks last month I did get to see the riders and bikes at the Augusta MC museum! Quite the surprise for me.

I'll have to agree with Mellow, it was a fine morning for a ride. It was 65 when I left this morning for a roll about Florida and up into ALABAMA!!

Hey Russ @ardykay54 come on down, The Texas white roses are in full bloom and the temps are perfect for riding!

Where’s the white Beemer?

It was a very nice day. Temperature was 75 degrees and humidity was 23%. Could not ask for a better day for a ride. I am still somewhat limited in time away from home so...... I made two trips. One to the grocery store and then hardware store (morning) and then to visit an old friends home (late afternoon).

I have been by their house several times since moving to the Newberry area. We first met in late 1962 at Newberry College and our last communication was some four or five years later. But memories are memories and the trip was about a memory. And yes there are many memories.

Not much to see in rural SC but the land was clean and neat and farms appeared in good shape. Road, not so much.

I shortened the video to three minutes because of the camera mount being not right and the road getting rough. So, I took some screen shots.

Total length of trip 45 minutes. (Did not measure distance). It was a very, very, very nice day for a ride.

Bike was my 2007 ST1300A. (Rode the Valkyrie yesterday for some errands).

The image above includes the Historical Marker for the Rock House.

From the link below this line: Inscription. On December 7, 1756, the Council of the Colony recorded a petition of Jacob Hoffman for 200 acres of bounty land. He was granted this acreage on Palmetto Branch in 1758. The building on this tract, which has long been known as "The Rock House," exhibits details of construction which support the local tradition that it was built before the American Revolution.

And finally a short video.

Short Video of Today's Ride

Yesterday rode to Barber Vintage Festival and hung out. 33 miles one way, as I ignored I-20 and took backroads all the way. Kaiser came with.
Today rode 105 miles one way to fix a cash drawer that wasn't broken. I brought an extra 2 underlayers to help a Belstaff Cordura jacket (too cool for mesh) keep me warm, as it's gonna be in the 60s or 50s by the time I get home. The sun's gone bye-bye for the day, and...
I'M MISSING SUMMER ALREADY.

Sinc I couldn’t get anyone to join a RTC, and the weather is so nice for riding and camping, I headed out early for the Colonial Virginia BMW Rally. Camping Sumter SC.

That's the bike you ride to the Beemer meet!!! Dang nice looking dirt bike.

Tom, I think someone spelled BMW wrong on that red and white bike. Looks good, anyway.
Did you get a good discount from Das Motorrad for their mistake?
Since last year they gave me a free set of Road 6 GT’s for the Bagger, I figured I’d give someone else a chance. :)

.When I sold my BMW, The president of the BMW club I’m in said, “as long as you can spell “BMW” you can stay in the club.“
