What did you do with your ST1100/ST1300 today?

Added a voltmeter with two USB for phone charging
My power sockets are inside my left storage bin, but I added a lighter to mine, too. I installed mine right behind the bin cover (non-ABS), to match the lock for the right bin a la Vetter Windjammer (which I have on my Nighthawk 750).

I've been to Jackson. if I recall correctly they have a really good ice cream parlor that is connected to the dairy.
Well it was a relatively big day in the garage yesterday. After mounting the twin Fiamm highway blasters, I found the lower left wrapper had interference wth the horn so mcgyvered a solution with an additional L bracket to move it up out of the way. Man, those babies are much louder! Then mounted the Givi adapter plate & box that I had modded with the Admore LEDs,, tested my wiring and there is a lot of light back there now. Next I guess I have to drill a hole in the rear cowl to pass the cable throught to the box connection so off to the store to look for a suitable rubber grommet.
Couldn't you just slip the cord under the back of the seat so you don't have to drill a hole?

Changed the oil/filter, and did a thorough inspection, finished with topping off all the fluids in anticipation of my annual spring training course this Sat/Sun with some local Motor Officers.

Two days of riding drills, and running through the cone patterns that LEO's use for their qualification.

Ok, they make them a bit wider for we civilian types!

Educational, fun, and FREE!

Tore the dash apart to fix the lcd screen and added blue leds :)
very nice... do you need a special soldering iron for this kinda work or will the typical walmart version work? I've always been curious as my soldering work is a bit more on the gorilla-side vs precise-side of things.

regular old pencil style iron works just fine :) This job it pretty straight forward. use tweezers to pull on one side and slightly dig your iron under it until it lifts up. Then it will pop rite off when you iron the other side. In the one picture you can see all of them with one side lifted. I used my trusty 25yo soldering iron . . . i really need to get a new one. lol

Hot and stuffy in my one room pokey hole bed sit under the roof. Air too thick to breathe, too thin to drink. So kick the tyres and light the fires and off into the mountains.
This time went to the Großglockner, On the A96, swung around Munich and on the A8 to Salzburg and turned off at Kufstein towards the Großglockner Alpine road. It took me while to stop winging and whining at the 28 Euro Toll but the ride was worth it, Km´s and Km´s of bendy-wendy, curvy-wurvy fun. Spent the night at the Glocknerhaus and enjoyed every minute, food was great and the room..: well, you could not swing a Murmeltier but comfortable enough.
Repeat factor: 90%, the 28 Euros hurt, especially after filling the bike with 54 Euros of petrol.IMG_2144.JPGIMG_2144.JPGIMG_2145.JPGIMG_2146.JPGIMG_2150.JPGIMG_2154.JPGIMG_2157.JPGIMG_2158.JPGIMG_2197.JPGIMG_2145.JPGIMG_2146.JPG
