I finally got around to washing my 2010. It's been getting really dirty! I had hopes to wash the 2012 also, but I ran out of gas! :doh1:

With our trip up north (Sacramento) next weekend, my wife was questioning why I washed the 2010..."..are you planing on taking it up there with us?" :well1:

I told her, "...crap, you found me out!.." then I told her, it just needed washing!

I finally drove up to NorCal to pick up that wrecked '05 ST1300!

It's in pretty poor condition, and I'm not sure just what will happen to it. I don't have anytime to spend on it right now anyway!

Bob, you are a master of understatement.
Pretty Poor Condition. I'd have said it was shite. But maybe a gem hiding under there somewhere?
Are you planning on a busy winter in Cal?
Upt'North.

Ha! I have a feeling that this bike will be sitting for a couple (or more) winters before I can get to it. Besides, who as time to work on them when I'm too busy commuting and keeping my commuter bike going! :shrug2:

Looks like the engine is protected well. How many miles?

Around 20K. But it's been sitting (and looks like mostly outside) for YEARS!

I'm sure both tanks are worthless. They need to be drained, and are probably rusted pretty bad!

About the best thing about it is it's a great Black Widow breeding ground! Should see the one I pulled out of it when putting the front calipers back on!

Just replaced old totally worn rear tire with a Bridgestone T30 Evo. Feels much better now)
I wanted to install Michelin PR4 because I have it on the front wheel, but for some reason could't manage to find 160/70/17 size.

think it is ok to have tires from different makers on the bike)

Mounted 20190928_101118.jpga PR4GT on the rear of my 2001 ST1200. The 170/60ZR17 fit nicely and the bike handles better than ever.

On the front used the 120/70ZR18 PR4ĢT.

They ride great in the rain.

Rain in So Cal? Photo shopped!
This is all I ran into this Saturday

So what’s that on the bike seat?

I actually did a few things today:

Re-routed the brake and clutch hoses in preparation for adding risers, installed the risers, put the temporarily-lowered Helibars back on, and realized I also need to re-route the throttle and "choke" cables; to be done tomorrow.

Installed a used trailer hitch I bought on the 'Bay for only $85; that's the seller's bike in the pic. It took me about a half hour to install it. I put the hanger straps on the wrong bolts first, then on the right ones (I hope!)

I also bought a 1-7/8" hitch ball, which I needed to bring home the trailer I bought today for even less: $68.50! It needs a good cleaning and some TLC, and change the lighting plug to a flat 4-wire, maybe new tires

The black bag is the RDL rainsuit for my RDL fitted saddle and seatback. First time out of the wrapper, installed on the the seat. Will tuck more under next time. Nothing like a loose tarp flapping in the breeze....sorry RDL, one size bag for everyone? lol....Best seat in the world. No old man hotspots in the pelvic floor. The bag was perfectly functional.

First time in the Frogg Toggs too.

if You are exclusively towing with the ST leave it as a 5 wire, no interface needed to hook to the bike. If you are towing it with multiple vehicles, make a it a dual set-up, have both 5 and 4 wire plugs. My p'up has both 4 and 6, the 6th being for charging a battery while underway. There is a schematic around here somewhere on making the trailer both 5 and 4 way compatible.
