What did you do with your ST1100/ST1300 today?

@fnmag

You have the spirit of compassion and support. It’s a gift brother from above, one that is rare and much appreciated
Tender hearted as a rose

IGO has a similar heart, but his past life was tough and he has many thorns to protect his softness, yet his heart is pure Moly, I mean gold

I finally got some d rings attached to my lift and also made some stabilisers for the backend of the lift as it was a bit wobbly when jacked up. Solid as a rock now. Replaced oil and filter and replaced clutch fluid, plus topped up brake fluid. Checked air intake system and will have to order a new sub air filter and get some coolant top up. Plus general tightening/checking of fasteners etc. Found one exhaust manifold bolt rattling away and the hear selector was so loose on the pinion that it was almost falling off. Found three weepy points on the underside of the right hand monad silencer so I looks as if I may have to replace at some point. The baffles are rattling pretty bad anyway. I’m getting the bike ready for the North Coast 500 in Scotland for Easter and I am enjoying getting to know the bike.

Thinking my sweetheart would be tired and go to sleep early, I turned the heat on in the MC Spa.
Then went in the house and she was a live wire.
I had trouble concentrating on conversation while thinking about getting back to work on the bike. Not good.
I prolonged our next activity by concentrating about working on the bike. Very good.
Once she fell asleep I slipped out. Of the house. Backed out of the driveway with lights out, to keep the dogs from waking her up. Thank goodness for back up cameras night vision.
I get in the shed and it’s 96 degrees, have to get undressed again and hope I don’t get caught doing plumbing activity with the bike.
Oh, have I been off topic?
I put the thermostat housing in place. Just hooked up the hoses, new cylinder head hoses, got the hose clamps lined up, 15 minutes, called it good. Walked back to the house, slip into bed with sweetheart and dogs and slept great.

Pulled rear wheel and got the flat fixed - finishing nail - 45 years of riding and never a flat - now I pick up a nail in one week old tire - go figger ;) Back together and ready to go :) :)

Made repair/alteration to my triple hinge backrest. My latest concocktion would fall onto the seat under me if I stood up, or mostly getting on the bike, so I had to place a Stop to hold position a little better...…..

Went for a quick ride up in the Santa Monica Mountains yesterday, Here is the view from Piuma road looking west. the light green area on the horizon is the eastern edge of the burn zone.
