What did you do to / ride to with your Beemer today?

And the saga continues...

Had a job to replace a credit card reader, taking the same route as I rode yesterday to the @Nashcat RTE, just not quite a far.

Simple, easy job BUT! I brought the wrong damn parts!

Have not done that in years, and feeling like a total lower.

Riding will make me feel better, and I stopped at a Cracker Barrel halfway home.

To make me feel better, I was walking to the entrance with my jacket draped over my left arm, helmet in the left hand, as a middle- aged woman exited the door. She walked towards me with a Styrofoam go cup and a straw in it, saw me and abruptly did an about- face, walked back to the door, and held it open for me.

I thanked her profusely, stating she didn't have to, and she just smiled.

How nice is that?

On the way to Huntsville today, I was able to stop in time to put on raingear, the first of 3 big wet showers.
Right on the edge, literally. And why is that car in MY breakdown lane?!
You can see where the splashing starts, and I got dressed before plunging ahead.
Stayed dry, but this was close.

I may have found a place to eat next Friday and/or Saturday!

Nice motor in the R100s. Easy to live with electronic ignition and Brembo brakes. I wish I still had my ‘81.

Noticed a drip on the rh fairing of my 88 K75S yesterday...looks like I'll be rebuilding a master cylinder and trying to salvage that dulled paint spot. (Not my garage in pic, that was the day I test rode it)
