Shipping out of boston!

Can't speak to Spotify, but the Tetons are grand. (I know, I know.)
Take a wading break in the Snake River. Especially if you're feeling tired. Traveled out there in August, in a previous life, but the memories still remain.
As a reminder, I'm really enjoying this travelogue!
Don't stop.

Internet here is lacking. Pretty much got thrown out of grand teton camp grounds. All of them. So, i rode later than i loke and further than i loke and came across this gravel road. Wa-la! Two pretty little free camp spots!
Froze my ass off! My sleeping bag will no longer b on team stedy when i get home! It was a long night! 9A6FD3EA-DEA8-4854-9331-5FDF5621B7C5.jpegBBB0FDF2-AD13-49F8-98B5-B69BA690F3AF.jpeg70BDE1E7-2F50-4E12-962F-43B4014DBE3A.jpeg

I thought yellowstone was boring except for the last five miles coming out into gardiner. That was really nice!
i can see nice trees and rivers everywhere.
i hit yellow at the wrong time. It was crowded and people were stomping their brakes to look at a sleeping bison 100 yards away.
yellowstone gets one avacado. 160CC6E6-1FCF-4FE5-B237-189FC4AE8CC9.jpeg1A3D0A7B-5EFA-4FA2-B69A-78A0E3CD0B2E.jpeg

How did you get "thrown out" of 2 sites?
Were they not real campsites, or were you just partying too loudly?
And -- have you been wading in the Snake River yet?
Recommend taking off your boots and socks first...

I came out of yellow into gardiner. And discovered a campsite in jardine. It was up a gravel road about three miles up, and all climbing. I was lucky! I got there early, around 3:00 and by 4:00 the place was full!
who would have thunk it? The caretaker was a x 1300 owner and was a member here in the 90’s. A very good guy!
freezing my ass off last night was worth it. Earlier in the day, i watched a chickie do 30 min with a hula hoop! I had a ball watching her have a ball!
The stars were the best ive seen. I forgot about shooting stars. U dont see them in boston!
Heading for beartooth today and then a slow mosey to pagosa springs co.
got a late start this morning and i really dont care.
i realised yesterday that it took me about a week to slow my head down and quit feeling loke i hadto b somewhere at a certain time. Screw it i say!F400ABBE-B848-4291-9F35-A51679CDC4AA.jpeg262499E3-5C18-4335-A8F3-79EAAAF5302E.jpegE39D0570-96EF-48F3-BB1B-3234A1447CC3.jpeg

They dont want you anywhere near there without a reservation. They had security looking for guys like me!

Did you see the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone? Or the Upper and Lower Falls? The Hot Springs and the old HIstoric Lodge at Old Faithful?
Plus the 'Original' Entrance? If you didn't, you missed a lot! Traffic can be crazy during peak 'tourist' season for sure.

Honestly, i had been frozen out the night before and i was irritable. I had bluehairs stomping their brakes everywhere and i was unhappy. Im gonna take the blame for this. Im sure i missed a lot. Heading for beartooth where i dont care if people drive slow.

Don't let the bastards get ya down!
Remember, you are on the trip of a lifetime.
Im sitting here having a second cup, feeling weird. Ive had a ton of nitpicky issues and im not bothered at all. Duh! Is this what relaxing feels like? I noticed im going slower on the bike. Ive pulled over a zillion times to let faster cars pass and im just sitting here feeling the air. A very unusual thing for me.
so, im cherishing this. Ive seen so many things others, to their regret, will never see.
this is my third major tour and each one has given me so much in so many different ways.

This is called smelling the roses.

Too bad Yellowstone was a geezerfest. You did the right thing by going with your take it easy and enjoy at your pace. You miss one thing but will be rewarded with three by going slow and just not let things get to you. Wishing you a fun ride on the tooth of the bear. Great pictures. You sure know how to compose them.

what you described is Yellowstone at any time, other than in the winter when its really cold.

To be honest, you could take 3 days and still not see all there is to see in Yellowstone.
Go back in the off season one day and enjoy it!
