Im somewhere on 16a and it is wonderful. All curves and views. Seems i got off track, again, and im heading for custer. Who cares? A great ride in a great place.
im shocked that up here in the hills, i can smell harley exhaust. I feel like the ugly twin. All harleys!
i hope to spend a few in sturgis, fully vaccinated, looking for st’s

Another fine day! After beartooth and getting my ass kicked around here on 16 and 16a, the million dollar highway should be cake! I might do it blindfolded!
Went thru 2/3 tank and spent much of it in first and second gear. Ive never ridden a 360 corkscrew before and there were a few here! Lots of tunnels carved thru rock.
sturgis is a ghost town now. Very few bikes. Went into a harley bar for dinner and they looked at melike i was a freak. A very good day indeed
Ive been three nights freezing my ass off and its supposed to b in the 50’s all night. Lets hope for some shuteye.
ill be heading for colorado tomorrow. Would like to stay west and out of denver.

The side of Mt Rushmore no one ever sees.

What is interesting is that the original sculptor - Gutzon Borglum - was planning on a 'waist up' view of all four, but the rock structure would not support it. Don't think he was thinking about the waist down but maybe he was on the other hand ...

A shout out to kickstands! They charged me $25 w power, and it would have been $15 wo. Clean, private, polite, excellent. A very nice experience. Never ate there or went to the bar, but id guess it was nice. Just two exits out of sturgis.
five avacados!

What did you end up doing about your battery?
Filled it w water, got a push and its going fine. Heading ti colorado today and gonna pull it and have it checked. Ive had my garmin disconnected and need to get that going again too. Im trying not to stress the battery until i know its condition.
money is becoming an issue (small at this point) and im counting pennies.

Michael, I'll be up in Ft. Collins, CO next week if you're in the area.
