She said yes... ;-> (NT700VA)

That's cool!
Did you buy her the fuel pumps in the pic, as well?
I could use a couple at my house, I'm at the gas station (petrol station) far too often, and it takes time.
But not as much time as pushing the bike to the next one, I guess...

68T km... already... my GF is riding the wheels off that thing... literally

New tires, rear rotor & pads were due... and then some...

New mains seal installed in spring is holding up nicely, bone dry casing...

Ah-ja...

All cleaned up nicely...
dampers OEM NT700, bushings OEM ST1100 (identical P/N)
Interestingly are the NT700 rubbers more expensive then the ST1100 ones, but they're identical shape & size, only flipped as the NT has the shaft on the LHS...
once unpacked only ID-able by the molded [OUTSIDE] lettering...

we all know the drill...

Great pics, Martin. Nice to see that the Deauville is thriving. I've always liked them, although physically they're a bit small for me.

I wish I had a motorcycle lift like that, so I could nurse my sick ST back to health. And a garage to work in!

I'm still on a shaft-drive V4 Honda though...

Yup, a friend (huge fella) with an ST1300 has also gotten himself an NT700, as he claims the 1300 is getting too heavy to maneuver for him...
But a V-4 is quite a different powerhouse, the NT is nice, reliable, comfy, with predictable & precise handling, but those 2-cyl just lacks punch in some situations...

Replaced her clutch today... again...

the steel plates were beyond "blue"...

Only 16,000km on the set... (urban commute?)... started to fail/slip during a rider training 3 weeks ago...

oil, filter, steel plates friction plates, springs... works perfect again...

I was wondering what you meant by "again", as in 'when was the last time?'
That IS a short interval, so yes -- the plates are suitable for framing.
Next time, consider having GF to assist?
At least, "my beer has evaporated, would you be a dear and fetch us a another?"
Just say it with a smile...

Ah, she is doing her part: fetching tools, holding parts, looking up data in the w/shop manual...
She also promised to be more observant on her clutch usage in urban traffic...
I also swapped the NT to 5W50 now for improved heat protection...

Green with envy at Martin's useful bike lift, I bought an ABBA Sky Lift yesterday. I don't have a garage so something with a smallish footprint is important.

I already have the adapters that fit into the swing arm pivots for my VFR1200X as I have an ABBA stand. Now I need to find out which adapters would fit my 2004 ST1300. I'm sure I saw some info about them in a thread somewhere. If I recall, they were in a technician's kit, not a separately sold set.
