Ride For Cambodia?

Great! maybe we'll see her over there.

I just signed up for http://www.whatsapp.com/ where we can text for free. Works well with the folks I found on there already.
Reconnected with Ibu, the pilot in Panama, through this text app.
Also, made sure my double camera phone is up and running with Skype. That works very VERY well with my Droid Sammy Galaxy S3. I'm gonna be hunting WiFi though.

Tapatalk works great for uploading pics directly to forums. Again, I'll be jonesing WiFi. ;)

I'm looking at Nexus 4 for GPS/Camera/WiFi tho I'd like a larger screen. Maybe Nexus 7? Gotta come to some conclusion soon.

You want the largest screen on what I consider the largest phone I'd ever hang on my hip?
This Droid Galaxy S3 is the catts meow. 4.8 inches BABY! 8MP back camera, a crisp image from the front camera (as commented by persons Skyped), very good battery life, HD screen, WiFi, stand alone GPS, wireless transfer of files between WiFi devices, all the bells and whistles I need.
I can go on... :weights1:

If you ask me, this joint needs some chronological diversity.

Hey Tip, we're going to need some recommendations in Laos. Any must-see stops that you can think of?

If we go tubing there, I'm going AGATT..... that broken skull didn't look like a lot of fun. Wisdom comes with age, there just wasn't any "age" in that group.

AAA have very good tour book on Laos or you could get it in BBK or VTE (Vientiane) there are many things you can checks out with-in VTE or you guys could drive up north on HW13 to town of Vang-Vieng that's where most young Ausi/Eu tourist like to go, this area is very beautiful of mountains views and fun roads for bikers, after that I would drive up to Plain of Jars site at Xiang-Khouang just of HW7, if you guys wanted to see historic site where's the headquarter of Lao Communist? (The Pathetlao during "40's to 75") George might be interested to see this place? this is where Ho Chi Minh trail started, a town of Vieng-Xay during French/American VNW, then go up north/east on HW6 to Sam-Nuea/Na-thong and continue to town of Vieng-Xay where was Communist headquarter most of these areas is in the mountains caves offices/hospital/theater and so-on.

Another town you guys must go, Luang-Prabang is north on HW13 a world historical landmark town you-all would love this place most westerners love this town. Lots of things to see. After this you can works your way to Golden Triangle by bus or by air to Chieng Mai.

Without question....Thanks for the great suggestions, Tip. It's not too late to change your mind being as Dace doesn't even have tickets yet and is coming.

Keep the suggestions coming.

Here is website of an old Siam Capital. you guys guess why they change from Siam to Thailand?

Thanks, Tip. Looks like a great preview of what we'll be seeing.
I want to see it all but want to relax through it as if I have all the time in the world.
I think we'll find a balance in there somewhere.

Just heard in the news about a guy that got aggressive in a plane on the tarmac. The plane got held up to get the guy off. People have to really behave well in these tight spaces, otherwise it holds everyone up and people miss their connections....TO BANGKOK!!!

Looks good to me. Apparently someone has to "register" to get on the website to book a room. I can do this if everyone votes thumbs up on this joint.
......Joe? Dace?

It's definitely in my price range, and it's on the north side of town, closer to the airport. Get's our heads on a pillow faster after a long flight in the wee hours of the night. :)

Nice find, George.

Thumb up here in West (by Buddha) Virginia. Lemme know if I owe you bhats or dollars??

I have a feeling we are going to get a picture ;) ... and it's good luck to rub the Budda's belly. Be ready, Joe. :)

"My karma ran over your dogma".

Since the 'Geezer and I will be in BKK a few day before anyone else, I will nail down a room with two beds.
We are still not sure who else is coming from our group so I'll leave it to you, George to get a room or if you'd like, we can all move into a suite. I like the looks of that Riverside building. More $$$ but I don't think it'll break our bank.

As always, we welcome and encourage input on this topic.

Still waiting to hear Dace has her tickets. Either 2 doubles or a suite as needed. Works for me. We still got a month to plan.

Looks like Nata Harli has already reserved there for arrival on the 16th(?).

I'm just about to pull the trigger on a 'Droid 7" for my GPS and wifi device. And music too, at 16G it'll handle a ton of tunes. Still planning on a "burn phone" for in-country and Skype for international comm. Research on the phone continues.
