Old Enough To Remember?

Money? what is that? I just pay with this little plastic thing and walk out of the store. Besides I work all week and all I get is a piece of paper>

 You get a piece of paper from your work?...... I only get a piece of paper from the store, telling me what I no longer have! A curious concept this money.

For some reason I remember the pharmacy on the Isle of Man in 2008 using one when my card wouldn't go through. Banking differences? Not sure. I seem to remember they were using chip way back then while we were still mag stripe.
Needless to say they had to dust it off and try to remember where they had put the stack of carbon papers!

Typing seemed to be an easy few high school credits, and who knows might be a good thing to know, well who knew how useful, I sure didn't. If you were in grade 11 or 12, you would have moved up to the brand new electric typewriters, I guess the school couldn't upgrade all in one year so we learned on the manuals and as I understand we were the last students to use them.
Somewhere along the way I aquired an old manual typewriter and we have a few laughs with ghosts leaving messages when the kids are around.

I took typing in high school, too. Who knew - 45 years in the computer industry and I was so happy I learned touch typing. Probably the most valuable thing I learned in high school.

Yep same here. Wanted to be a history teacher. Somehow ended up doing 35 yrs with mainframes and right from the start the typing class in high school helped a lot.
