Old Enough To Remember?

I remember my Danish immigrant grandfather working his farm with horses until he retired from farming in the 1960s. As pre-teens, my brother and I helped with putting up the loose hay into the barn haymow via his horse drawn pulley/rope and hay fork system
Found a nice video. I love the part at about 20:05 when the old farmer talks about the kids helping with loading the haymow:

Waxing nostalgic on a nice day in the backyard with the dog in early September.

JC Whitney auto parts.
I used to order VW parts from them. They were inexpensive and likely from companies dumping their slow moving stock. I remember when I first began thumbing through their catalogues they were still carrying record players that mounted inside the glove compartment. Couldn't imagine playing one while driving.

Sir Issac Newton tells us why
An apple falls down from the sky;
And from this fact it's very plain
All other objects do the same.
A brick, a bolt, a bar, a cup,
Invariably fall down not up.
And every common working tool
Is governed by the self-same rule.
If at work you drop a spanner
It travels in a downward manner;
A fifth of accidents or more
Illustrate old Newtons law.
But one thing he forgot to add;
The damage won't be half as bad
If you are wearing special clothes,
Especially on your head and toes.
So best foot forward and take care
About the kind of shoes you wear;
It's better to be sure than dead,
So get a hat and keep your head.
Don't think to go without is brave;
The affects of gravity can be grave.

Let´s see how many here go: "Oh my word"
