NT1100 coming to the US, kind of

It Only comes in Hawkeye Blue... Sharp looking color2025-02-02 16_53_31-Honda NT1100 Motorcycle _ Honda Powersports Canada — Mozilla Firefox.jpg

Same bike at Toronto show this past weekend, but it was a DCT, talked to two different dealers and they knew very little about it. Dealer A will receive one this year and dealer B will get two. No info on accessories and saddlebags not included. I liked it but don't think Mrs. P (pillion) would be too comfortable though. Note the flimsy clear air deflectors as well.

Also showing the '25 Wing, it's a weird purple to my eyes and I wouldn't even take a pic of the ghastly woodie one.
Note the '76 wing behind it.

Honda's website is officially showing the NT1100 as available in the US. DCT only with the Showa SFF-BP (separate function fork - big piston) suspension. The fancy electronic suspension is not offered.

Pearl Hawkeye Blue is the only available color (I like it a lot). Heated grips and center stand are standard. A new one-handed adjustable windscreen replaces the old style which was the subject of complaints (in the UK and EU).

The website doesn't mention it, but I'm hoping that other 2025 updates that are provided for the EU models, notably the IMU to support lean-sensitive braking, traction control, and DCT shifting, are included in the US model. But the wheelie control (!) feature only mentions the use of wheel-speed sensors, so maybe no IMU?

$11,899 without side cases.

Wrong mix of features for me. I’d rather have the standard transmission in exchange for the panniers included. Looks like they’re optional on the website.

I think it's been said by others, but I don't think it's fair to call it a "sports TOURER" if panniers are optional.

If and when I replace my ST1300, I'm willing to give up some power, a lot of weight and some pillion comfort. I am not willing to give up its long distance comfort which includes the electric windscreen and integrated panniers. From first looks, the NT1100 is not the replacement I would want. Right now, its replacement would be the Gold Wing, but Its weight and size is a little off-putting.

I think the panniers being optional may be welcome. The factory panniers are UGLY and by omitting them, it opens options for aftermarket ones. The Honda ones look small also.
