The tenor is that most step back to FW 2.9, the last known working version...
I have tried the rollback of the firmware mentioned a long time back in this thread. (@ST1100Y reported it and @Whisker Bill posted the translation) It describes the Rolling back to v 5.90 and it worked a treat, but I wanted 2.90 back on again.
I couldn't do it. Don't get me wrong, I went through all of the procedures, loaded the image from my Express download files on the PC - the B348400.update file, put it on a clean SD card - and went through the menu on the pre-bootup screen as described. All seemed to work OK. Except all it did was install 5.90 again. One issue might have been that the file for 2.90 was called "B348400.update.signed". It didn't like that, so I renamed it B348400.update - no faults, but I still got 5.90 installed.
I have the 2.80 firmware file too, that is called B348400.update (without the added .signed) - but that did the same thing - installed 5.90.
Has anyone else tried (risked) doing this process and got any further back than the 5.90 firmware please ?
