How fast have you had your ST?

100+ for about 2 hrs heading west out of Jacksonville..Then turned south for another 2 hrs of 90+. As someone else said..after 4 hours at those speeds, you feel like 75 is 45... MY major issue is keeping it under 65 in a 45 to and from work.. it just *wants* to go fast:rolleyes:. Knowing me.. one day.. I'll max it out.. just because I can.. :( I really thought I'd matured enough to be able to handle a 'sport' bike. I was wrong. :D :04biker:

173 km/hr (zumo) this summer on the German Autbahn, lots of power left, no wobble. Two up with loaded side cases, Givi Maxia, and tank bag. Considering those conditions it was enough.

I need new tires to try to better that.

There's a thread somewhere on this site...or a link to information that gives max speed, per tallest gear/red line rpm for the ST1300 at 152 mph. I can't find it right now...but maybe someone else can.
I haven't been in ideal conditions (safety, wind, road..etc) to get the bike to 150 mph...but I've been in the low 140s on three occasions.
Dicey....and not recommended. The bike was stable but if things do/did go wrong....it wouldn't be a good day.

I "wick it up" (from an actual 70mph) to pass convoys of truckers on two lane deserted highways(I-80 in PA) - mostly to minimize the wind buffeting (the square faced trucks are the worst as they leave a wake about 100 yards long and fairly severe as you pass the drivers cab). This past weekend, I passed five trucks (no one else on the highway) and when I passed the last one I was at 110 on the speedometer which is about 105 I imagine.

No wobbling, no headshake, the bike actually felt like a steady rocket compared to passing those same trucks at 70 real mph.

MPG - 48 from CT to OH and 51 from OH to CT, measured at the tank for the 650 mile trip west and 650 mile trip east. I believe the West to East tailwind helped the mileage on the return trip to CT.

On my Fly 'n Ride from Colorado in 2006, my 2000 pushed 125 in Eastern Washington (descending into a coulee on Hwy 2).

Don't ask me about my Blackbird.

122 mph (GPS) yesterday. :06biker:
New high speed for me! I'm addicted to going fast, but I know the potential consequences. Does this mean I'm ready for an intervention? :D

heheheheheheheheheheh

Not a very clear picture, but the thumbnail is readable.

At about 110 mph I started developing a serious shake.
Not the bike.

had mine up to 230kph (142,92 MPH) Garmin Zumo 500 GPS and indicating about 245 kph on the speedo. . .
and this was fully loaded with luggage on the pillion seat also.
She felt like she could give me more but after about ten miles I decided to back off as I was to heavily loaded and realized that I wasn't gonna get to much more out of her that day. (She was over the 50,000 mile old mark at the time)
There were no scarey shakes or anything, and I could safely pass cars etc. and control the bike.
She is quite boring at speeds on open roads. I prefer the corners.
PS got my foot jammed between the bike and the road whilst cornering the other day and now my ankel hurts.

140 mph in UK on motorway on the way to the ferry. Honestly I nearly **** when i looked down and saw that speed ! I thought I was doing about 120-125mph ! The 1300 Pan is just so powerfull when you wind it up the speed increases so quickly. Anyway I missed the ferry so it wasnt worth it.
SKID.
