Here We Go Again - News From The Holler

Phil, When these surgeries are all over, you will be, like any good restoration, better than when you were new!

Well, the new 'hardware' was installed yesterday but I got a overnight stay in the hospital.
There was so much bleeding (blood thinners though I was off for 1 week) that the doctor wanted to make sure I was observed overnight.
Just got back to the Holler an hour ago.
So 3 surgeries down and 1 to go!

I'm here in pre-registration for my prostate surgery Friday.
I HOPE they have some of that here.
If not, ice cream and warm brownies will be fine.
(This filling out page after page after page, and answering the same fookin' questions over and over and over.)
Hey, Doc!! Ya ever heard of computers? They can talk to each other these days!
CRIKEY! What a waste of time.
So, back to that ice cream...

Ice cream & Popsicles helps reduce the swelling when you have your tonsils out.
Not sure what they do for your prostate.....

I'm doing well with my new hip joint , 5 weeks post-op . No walker or cane now for 3 weeks , No pain anymore , per se , Feel a little tired in that area if I try to over-do activities , like leaf raking , & roof coating .
You other guys : here's hoping you have successful operations & recoveries .

Geeezzz...we're all suffering it seems. I cranked my back a few weeks ago and am still paying for that little mishap (nothing to do with my bikes BTW).
That's the reason they are called the golden years - it takes so much gold to fix all the stuff that goes wrong!

I've been to some therapy sessions and am doing my home therapies. I think the reason I am doing so well is the fact that my rotator cuff was in excellent shape and did not have to be messed with. That, and the prayers of my friends and a gifted surgeon in that order!
