H4 LED - 2018 Evitek, F2 replaces G6

I ordered some F2,s from Cindy direct. Took about 3 weeks to turn up which I expected . Fitted very easy and great quality parts . I work in the motor trade so took bike to check light on Hella beam setting tool. Lights gave perfect headlight pattern and mimicked the halogen H4 bulb exactly . LED,s definitely make you more conspicuous to other road users. I have done a little night ride and very impressed with light output . Highly recommended and a great quality product at a very reasonable price .

I went for a hundred mile night ride with the F2. Mostly two lane rural straight roads, a few twists and some interstate. Just excellent lighting, I am notably pleased with with the width of the high beam for seeing road side critters. Same pattern just more light filling in.
Curious to see results at night in rain and fog.

Do you guys think the LED lights shine properly when in the vertical, horizontal or somewhere in between position?

I am pretty sure the right orientation for F2s is vertical, with the low beam cutoff shield below the emitter.

It is an easy experiment to try. Put them in and watch how the beam pattern changes as you rotate them.

Here is a video review of the F2 bulb sold by Supernova as the V4. with comparisons to some other bulbs.

looks like there is a yellow version for fog lights.... but we already knew how good it is.......

A bit pricey at $169 - 179 for a set. They do look good though.

There is one OEM for the bulb but many vendors selling it with their name on the box.
So the prices will be different. Like anything else you have to shop around. The more you know the better your choices.

F2 Review:
This past Monday my left low beam went away. The PO had replaced the stock 45/45 bulbs with 55/65 watt bulbs. I have been trolling this thread for a while as I am a big proponent of LED lights & since I needed to replace the burnt bulb I decided to order a pair of F2's.

I ordered the Safego bulbs off of Amazon for $49.99. Here is the link:

I ordered them Tuesday and received them yesterday (Thursday) and installed them immediately. It was a simple process. I was able to perform the whole process from the top. After turning the bars in the direction of the bulb I was working on I reached down in in front the bar. It was a little snug but a quick process. After removing the offending bulb, I used a flap disc on a grinder and ground away the 2 bottom tabs on the LED. I inserted it in the housing and while trying to manipulate it into position......…......it fell through the hole and into the housing  There I was squatting in front of my STeed staring at the part through the headlight lens. It was laughing at me. Taunting me. The smirk was infuriating  I would not be defeated, however. After a few minutes of quiet introspection (with a short burst of angry expletives :shout1:), I had an idea! A sure fire way to remedy this dilemma! I cut a piece of bailing wire about 24" long and bent the end into a shallow "hook". After a few tries and 2 adjustments on the "hook" I inserted the new engineering marvel into the housing through the bulb mounting hole. I hooked it! Now I had to turn it to pull it out the same way in fell it. Hmmm :think1:. Well, The retrieval gods were smiling down on me or were tired of watching mw molest that football because :run1:I got it! This whole fiasco took about 15 minutes. The rest of the install was uneventful and everything went together as it should.

I tested them and everything worked correctly. I tucked away the excess wiring and box and anxiously awaited nightfall. All I can say is WOW! :thumb: The pattern of both high and low beams is great and the amount of light they throw down the road is great! I have only had them for one night so I can't speak to longevity, but, if they last, these are definitely the LED bulbs we've been looking for!

I will post updates if any are warranted in the future.

Is this the same thing as the Supernova V4 for 1/2 the price? Looks the same

The F2s have separate low and high beam elements, with a cutoff shield around the low beam. The V4s have only one emitter on each side of the stalk, at least in the picture, and no cutoff shield.

Keep your fish wire handy. Now that you have great LED head lighting,, you won't be able to sleep until you replace your position lights with the same heat color (or close too it). Problem is,, several of us have dropped the oem position bulbs will extracting them. Be super cautious to avoid this tendency. There are previous posts on dealing with a dropped bulb. My solution involved pipe cleaners and double sticky tape,, to retrieve the fallen bulb, which was luckily done. cheers, Cat'

I'd go with the Katana or similar for the $50. Over double is way too rich for my blood.

Over triple, actually, but yep.
Over triple yes but I meant anything over double was too much. They're cheaper from Cindy $35 ~ $40 or so but by Slow Boat. I should grab a set before they get any higher than $50.

Is Cindy an Aliexpress seller?
