Funny!

Agreed. But...the 'stupidity and incompetence' disease is pretty much permeating DC and state governments at all levels. Far too many mercy jobs have been given to supporters otherwise-unemployable friends and relatives.
You have no idea how bad it really is. Both my wife and I have employment that includes ringside seats to incredible stupidity, gross mismanagement, and downright criminal negligence with regard to the outright wasting of taxpayers dollars.

Wow, you work for the threat assessment division of the Secret Service? That must be intersting.

Nope. Municipal stuff. Wife is a billing software consultant called in to figure out what happened to the 20 MILLION dollars that a medium sized Midwest city spent over 3yrs on just trying to determine what they needed to replace a legacy system. Who's responsible? No one. Where did the money go? Crickets. What was accomplished? Nothing. Wash, rinse, repeat. I work in contract Ops and the infrastructure is failing. We maintain whats there, the equipment that can be maintained is in good condition. But what its bolted to, the concrete, mounts, etc. are all disintegrating. Decades of trying to explain that the rates need to increase, if you do not spend the money now it will be 3-5 times more expensive when it does fail. City thinks we exaggerate, so they hire their own independent consultant who recommends they spend 50% more than we recommended. So the City increases the rates by one third the recommendation, and then approves construction of a "community cultural center" to the tune of millions. I'm sure it'll be nice, but there might not be potable water or toilets that flush.

Taxpayers are NOT getting any value for their taxes and the idiots are running the circus.
