Tree won't help much anymore for that. With the higher temp, they now "cough" almost as much CO2 as they absorb.

Somebody much clever that me calculated the you would have to cover Europe with trees, from the tip of the iberian penninsula to the gates of Moskau to soak up the CO2 emitted by all the Aral petrol stations in Germany.
Fighting global warming with trees is just not scalable any more.

You're right.
We need to get about regulating the sun's temperature, those pesky solar flare-ups, and figure out how to direct the earth's rotation to the optimum angle.
Probably ought to get serious about this cloud-seeding program, too.

That's only one year and one example. There are many more.

Incompetence... my wife turns 65 soon and Saturday received two notification that her SS and Medicare are declined . Stunned and angry spent the rest of the day figuring out who to call and how to file a complaint. Monday another notification came stating she all approved. Must be dei.

Are we at global warming or global cooling? I'm confused. Our temps here are lower than few years ago. The "climate change" term can work both ways... How convenient :)

Like @Slammer wrote, we need to rely on more than trees to fight "global warming. It's really short-sighted to just focus on the earth when the sun could destroy the earth. ;)

What ever happened to climate skepticism? Its all a hoax. A figment of your imagination. Just don't tell that to anyone in the Asheville area, or California.

Are you saying there were never hurricanes or forest fires before our lifetimes?
No, of course you're not.
There have always been, and always will be weather events, and sometimes they are accompanied by tragic loss of life.
But if anyone tries to tell me that the human species is responsible for, or causes, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions -- then i will have to disagree.
This universe we live in is not a stable, static, never changing place, but is spreading outward. Things change.
There are storms on Mars, and on other planets as well... do we make those happen?

Anyone who tells you that is a fool and should be challenged.
While having nothing to do with agreeing or disagreeing with it, it should be noted that the claim is that humans are making these events worse, not that we are causing them.
