the other thing is riding the bike will cause the old garbage gas to mix with your new fuel, I’ve blended out (syphoned) older gas out after some good agitation and run it through whaterever Ive got insured and driving (or just my work truck) to turn it over.
I’ve mentioned it before, the US Coast Guard brought many of these ethanol related “problems” (I’m just gonna call them disasters) to light some years back; a bit like seat belt legislation; driven more by having to shovel up the mess as opposed to protecting idiots from killing themselves;
probably went a bit like, “look, we don’t care if you want to put grain gas in the nations cars and light trucks, but we’re kind of running out of search and rescue people…”
