Itchy Boots

She's in Arabia now. It is unusual to see a woman without a relative man walking alone, or a woman driving a car. Women have no rights in these countries.
But because she's a foreigner they'll look a bit differently at her.
I've noticed that everyone is asking where's she from. But the following question would be "how much is the bike" and this question goes from Morocco to India. She's cutting it out.
Heck, I get this question from the gas station attendants here, lol (yeah, we have attendants in NJ).

Wonder what's next for her. She got 4 choices: Bahrain, Qatar(?), UAE and Oman. I don't think she'll go to Yemen or Jordan. Jordan is far and flying home is better from UAE (Dubai).

She may be coming to a city near you! This was off my Facebook feed.

IMPORTANT QUESTION !!

I will be pausing my adventure to Japan briefly in June - for the release of my book “Free Ride”, coming out June 3rd.

That means, taking a break from my journey in the Middle East and… coming to the USA and UK for a booktour! Want to meet and get a signed copy of my book???

To figure out which places in the USA most of you are located, please help me out with a vote! These are the cities on the shortlist for the booktour, so if you are interested in coming to an event, please write your preferred city in the comments!

Denver, CO
Boulder, CO
Salt Lake City, UT
Phoenix, AZ
Flagstaff, AZ
Albuquerque, NM
Waco, TX
San Antonio, TX
Portland, OR
Seattle, WA
Chicago, IL
Franklin, IN
St Louis, MO

And nothing to the East, or Southeast.
Pfffttt.
She has more followers in the west than the large eastern population centers?

That list has to have been generated by her book publisher who might not know anything about the size of those cities. Franklin, IN? That city had a population of 25,999 (2023). It would make more sense to hit large cities.... Or is Franklin a hotbed of motorcycle activity?

India was traveled again, recently.
My overactive brain doesn't do well with dates in the past... come to think of it, not too great with future events, either.

Seems to me a large Honda dealership like Southern Powesports in Chattanooga would be an ideal venue but what do I know...

...........is Franklin a hotbed of motorcycle activity?

Waco Tx (pop 145,000) certainly is....

As I told you. She's in Yemen. The eastern part of it, government controlled (not by Houthis). And not on a bike.
All for another buck and some YT "fame"

Gaza is next? (oh, maybe on the Israeli controlled side, or maybe not...eh).

P.S. Clearly there are people who're helping her with the logistics. (Hotels, guides, air tickets, etc., etc.). And she's probably flies home on occasion between the clips if needed.

With respect, I doubt that is the case, and this speculation appears often. There are a bunch of bogus click-bait videos about her supposed support crew, or her film crew, and even about her being married. That's just hijackers attempting to get more views on their own dumb YT channel by using her name.
As a lifelong world traveler, she does her own planning, reservatios, visas, insurance, passage-de-whatevers, and all the rest, it's second nature to her. And she seldom goes out after dark, so she spends a lot of time alone and can get these details taken care of.
She knows where and how to get through customs, exchange currency, and buy SIM cards for her phone, she does it all herself.
She doesn't get back to Holland all that much, either, except maybe between her YouTube "seasons", or unless she gets injured, like in her last rally attempt. Many countries have limitations on how long you can keep an out-of-country vehicle there, which is part of the reason for the carnet de passage -- they don't want you selling your vehicle in their country.
It's not as if I know her personally, but I have listened to several motorcycle podcasts where she was interviewed through the years.

and even about her being married
She was, her husband cheated on her, whilst she was working in Australia. She divorced him. All this was prior to her travelling the world on a motorcycle. ( she wrote about it in her book)
This does not diminish her accomplishments.
Sadlsor articulates it well in the post above.

Right. But what I meant is not a crew per se, but someone even in Europe would help searching for places to stay, safer roads to ride or border crossings in these remote countries. Researching things takes lots of time and this could free up some time for many other things she's working on.
I can be wrong, but just a gues. She keeps details hidden behind the YT screen.

I too don't get the debate led by "armchair ADV riders"...
Don't like it, don't watch it... period.
Simple as that... :shrug2:

I don't jump from one extreme to another. You don't need to be mean.
Sometimes I watch and other times I won't. But expressing opinions is not prohibited.

My next prediction is that she may go to Oman or/and Golf countries and fly back home from UAE or even Qatar.
That's if all will be still more or less ok with Iran.

Most of it's pretty boring to me. I don't care about the food or even some of the sites she goes to.. but I do like to watch when some adversity hits and how she addresses it as I might learn something from that which would benefit my own riding experience.

Una Moto is kinda like the early days of IB, I think you can learn a lot from new riders that you forget after a while.

She addresses it well. Yet don't forget that she must to play on camera as well.
For her it is a reality TV and the show must go on. And she has lots of experiences with it.
We don't know what's going on behind.

For many of us, just an ordinary riders, filming would be the least on our mind in case of adversity.

Agreed.

What we do know is, she’s got Japan as her end goal for this series. She will be going to Britain in June for the ADV Riders Festival, and doing a book launch in the States. So I do admit, looking on google maps, trying to figure all the possible paths she might take to get there.
Her videos tend to air up to a month later than real time.
I believe she has help with her merch sales, could be family, her brother, sister or father.

Charlie Sinewan sends his footage to an editor in Spain, then he gets it back to do a voice over before he publishes.

Sadlsor, put me onto Adam Riemann’s channel he does all his own filming and editing, very talented man who produces some fabulous videos.

I’m an ardent follower of Noraly, I will concur some of the videos at times lack content. Overall I admire her spirit, she never ceases to amaze me, and has more gumption to go places that I wouldn’t dare to go.
There’s another fellow I follow from Bulgaria, he went to Russia last fall, he didn’t encounter any issues, said the people were wonderful and had a good time…..who knew. ;)

There are people that are good planners, work out the logistics, network with others in the community to get info on places they are going to.
I’ve got a big trip coming up. I leave in two months, I’ve been planning this for the past year and a half. Recently I’ve had to alter some destinations, and look at alternative routes….all part of the adventure. ;)
In the meantime I’m looking forward to Noraly’s next episode.
