Looks like the rest of the season will be warmer than usual. Yesterday was the first day in the last 12 days of below freezing HIGH temps. And many of those days had low temps below zeroF with a few below -10F.

Yesterday started with a low of -5F rising up to a high of +35F. Next Friday we expect the high to be over +60F!!!

I might have to set my windshield to the low position a bit early.
 
We won’t wrap it up just yet… unless there is a consensus.

This is the first day I have been able to get out since before the thread started. Low of 37 high of 49. Bring on the heat.

Great job to all that participated and hope everyone’s spring comes soon.
 
Looking at the next 2 weeks central Iowa is done with below freezing daytime temps for this season. In the next 2 weeks we are expecting only four early mornings with temps around 25-30F Daytime highs in the 40sF to mid 70sF. Today will be getting up to around 75F and Friday will be 77F.

Time to take off the handlebar muffs now. Let's just skip spring time and move right into early summer.
 
Agreed! I pulled out a summer bike yesterday at 55F and went the proper 100 miles, but not more than 80mph.... Limiled by choice of bike. But a good choice for the occasional shady gravel road stretches, either the sloppy mud or still shining ice patches. All perfect in the sunny patches though.
