Good point. Years ago, my now-GL1800-riding friend and I rented a pair of them for a weekend.

I spent the majority of the time on the edge of the passenger seat, and my inseam is "only" 32-34".

You would like my '01 ST1100. I have an extra-tall RDL seat and Helibars atop 4" riser/clamps.

How in the heck do you hang off when cornering with an RDL seat? :rofl1:

I was hoping they would use the honda seat pan , my rear seat bag needs the wire brackets to hang on to. Thanks Phil

Those who have gone to the Dark Side are riding a collection of Chinese parts assembled in Bavaria.

So Chinese bikes can't all be bad !

There aren't any bikes produced by a major manufacturer I can think of, completely devoid of Chinese components.

Uncle Phil, I do have a Mike Corbin seat to use if I go the shipping route. First have to go though Chemo treatment and put some Muscle and weight back on(beeping blood cancer), before I order a seat.

The one day ride in service is your best choice really. That way you will be guaranteed a proper fit before you leave their shop, whereas some have had to ship a seat back a second time for an adjustment. Did the one day ride in for my ST and tagged along with a buddy another time for his too. Perfect results for both of us.

They book quite a ways in advance and only do one customer a day for that service. The money saved on shipping helps pay for your motel stays.

Also, if you ship your seat down, take the pillion tie downs off before you ship it and if you take it down yourself, make sure they put them back on before you leave the shop. Even though I had mentioned wanting to keep those bits to the fellow building my seat, he did forget to put them back on once he was done and luckily I checked before leaving that day.
