STOC TAG

A wee ride out this afternoon, I had a camera failure..... typical, so only got a few pictures, but those I got are okay!!!!

Anyone want to come ride some of my local roads?

It was so quiet today, few cars and fewer bikes.......

Inverary Castle.... the "Blue Castle" as it is known locally, perhaps because it looks blue in certain light conditions....

Loch Lomond.... the bonny banks!

Loch Lomond.... very quiet and peaceful.....

I will have to ride out again to get the ones that got corrupted when the camera went pfft....

Thanks Les. The only traveling I did in Scotland was by train and Shank's Mare. I did get to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Being a sailor and short time on shore leave didn't allow much sightseeing time. My first patrol, I don't think I got to Dunoon more than twice. The second one, I was over every chance I got to make up for lost time.

♫You take the high road, and I'll take the low road...♫ :D

Great job, Les. I'd love to come join ya.

The TAG package has already traveled farther than I had hoped for in the 1st year. Thanks for taking on the mantle of TAG courier ... And feel free to hang onto it, or pass it on as you see fit, I am just hopeful it will make it back to Moonshine in 2012 ...

It will be back...... one way or another it will be back....

Les - You are bringing back fond memories of my rides over there! You're on it like a duck on a Junebug. Hopefully the BritSToc handoff will take them even further! BTW, Redbird is missing you already - not to mention LadyBug ... ;-)

I read through the little black book tonight and found that Terry's poem had not been written in.......

I have therefore taken it upon myself to print it on plain paper in an appropriate small font and have stuck it carefully in on the back of the front flyleaf opposite the entries by Mitch and his mom, Cindy, (TLC).

I hope this is okay.

Just a reminder, Terry wrote this in an e-mail to Medicine Bear's family and I have copied the paragraph he wrote before his poem.

Here is a poem that came to me in church one Sunday
and I was almost made,,,
to write it down...
This is the exact words I wrote on the back of my program that day...
Many I know,,,
Ride Along with me,,,
and Fred/Medicine Bear' will also be along with me too...

- - - - - - -

We all know someone,,,
Who No Longer Rides With the Wind…
It may be their Decision,,,
or it was Death that Brought the Riding to an End…
Because of the Curves you shared,,,
or the Sunsets you both took in,,,
just take a Moment and Remember that they now Ride only Within…
When you are Standing at the Summit of Montana’s Glacier Park…
Enjoying the Curves of the Blue Ridge Parkway’s Smoky Beauty
as the fog rolls into itself…
Or when you smell the Ocean Breeze on Highway # 1 along
the California Coast…
Just know where ever you are they Too,,,
are Riding Along With the Wind…
Our lives are just as long as a Blink,,,
in the Big Cosmic Time-line Thing…
We all can strive that we make a difference in others Lives
and that we bring Happiness to them…
So when our time is over,,,
and we are not riding anymore…
We all can just hope to be carried along,,,
to again,,,
Ride along with the Wind...

Les. Thanks for your kind offer of coming down to Dunoon to meet up. I will take up the offer and hope to see you soon. I am heading for BritSToc 11 and would be delighted to take the TAG further on its journey. Will try and get down there as soon as to get some decent pictures before BritStoc 11. Cheers.

I had to get my bike its annual test the other day so took the TAG with me and captured a couple of shots..... dealer is based in Ayr, south of Glasgow on the West Coast of Scotland....

First picture on the ferry over from Dunoon to McInroy's point, the second is one of the dealer sales guys John Johnstone... he even managed a smile!

A very pleasant afternoon ride out, around 110 miles all told....
