The only difference is the wheel sided cover providing the lug for the wheel sensor, and the plastic spacer/ring covering the gap towards the hub/wheel.Except the sensor, I don't see any different.do you think or know if it will fit on my 1100 without ABS? The idea is to just clean it and replace seals and bearings and keep as spare since mine is running out.
So in theory you could swap those parts, you just need some engine sealant for the aluminum cover and I'd replace the big oil seal around the ring gear output as well.
Due to the precise manufacturing of the Honda casings, the risk that this has any influence on the shimming seems minimal.
(...doing it by the book would mean a full overhaul with replacing all bearings and seals, getting a set of shims and do the stunt with Prussian blue to check/adjust the gear meshing/play...)
