No smoke at all. There are strict campfire rules and the rain probably damped down a lot. Got stuck in wicked bad gridlock in seattle yesterday. I was ticked! So, i grabbed a no tell motel and charged everything, showered and shaved, and am ready for today.Hope the smoke doesn’t get in the way of your travels today. Wishing you (not your tent) smooth sailing today.
Im on 101 north. Olympia mountain is a beautiful sight! Will be forwarding pics of her asap.Good luck and don't be paying into the highway patrol out of towners paying for dinner fund! How far south are you going? End of 101 too?
Thank you. Deff heading south on 101. How far? I dont know. Been kicking the idea of the beginning of rt 66, but ive got to see the map and count the days.Be sure and hit the Avenue of the Giants off highway 1 if you go that far south.
Also, if you venture into San Francisco, from the north there is a road off 1/101 that will take up the ridge a bit for a great shot of the Golden Gate Bridge (if it's not fogged in).
An exit or 2 before -
The exit (442 - Alexander Ave - but head up the hill) you want -
Humbolt State Park and Avenue of the Giants is a must see... as well as the Redwoods Nat'l parkor trees like that.
Yea, after being where there was no one, cities pretty much suck. Had no interest is the needle.Avoid SF and LA, you think Seattle traffic was bad!
