This comm system is awsome!!! I had been looking into getting something for a while now and I never pull the trigger until I research all the pro's and con about my purchase. Hence the reason for the Ultimate two wheeled vehicle, the ST1300 06'. I ride a lot with my father, which poses one major problem. He gets nervous riding with me as I do with him. Now I am not saying that I don't care for the friends that I ride with, but when it's your dad the intensity increases. You are watching were you are going but at the same time you are looking out a lot for him, I am sure you father and son riders know what I am talking about. I know the he has been riding for a lot longer than I have, but we both have had our close calls. I found the solution, and it's bike to bike communication. I can tell him which side of the lane I am on or where the yahoo in the little rice rocket is, that is blasting down the street. I HIGHLY recommend this to any crew that rides together alot.
We go the Scala Rider Q2, and it has not let me down in any of the departments that it claims, except for the FM function but I new about that before i bought it. Lets just face it, it sucks. Besides that, The first day I got it to my suprise the Bluetooth that connects to my cellphone was excellent. The very next day when I was riding to work I called my wife, At 80mph on the 405, and she could'nt tell I was on the STeed. She thought I took my car. Then once my dad got his it linked up flawlessly and we rode in the morning to work and I had to tell him to stop yelling, even though we were goin 75mph. He was trying to yell over the noise he was hearing from his 08' Hayabusa. But the clarity is amazing. I never could get the thing to link up to my bluetooth receiver on my IPOD. So I just stick to the ear buds. I still hear the Q2 perfect. I looked into many different devices and this one was the most compact and also lasted the longest, 7 hours. Again if any one is looking into getting something like this check this system out. get away from the typical stores and go onto Amazon. We found ours for $150 when it is sold other places for $200.
That's all for now. I will try and get some pictures so that if anyone needs help with the set-up they can see how we did it. I have a Scorpion Exo 1000
