OK, I got sidetracked on about 10 different other projects and tonight I got around to putting this all together.
I am using an orange box I've used over the years, but you can see this entire deal would look really good in black.
OK, so here are the parts.
First was the base plate of the Honda Top Box. I have the Honda Top Box so I did it this way. If you have no Top Box at all I'll explain what you could do.
Next at the top is a bottom plate from Turbo Tom. This is the bottom part of a rack that he sells. I used the one that works with the Honda Top Box mount, but a regular one that replaces the rear factory plate could be used as well.
At the bottom is the base plate from Caribou cases.
I drilled and tapped the Turbo Tom plate to not have bolt heads at the bottom to deal with and then spaced the bolts so all would be flush.
Plates bolted together.
Plates on Bike.
(Bolt not tightened in this photo)
Caribou parts attached to my case
Case locks to bottom plate.
Now, all of this doesn't exist as a kit, but I am willing to bet it could be put together for about $250 to $275 total.
Any questions?
