Old Enough To Remember?

Big Ben alarm clock , the one with the two bells on top with a striker in the middle .
Retro, nice, but I can't stand that ticking... can't even have a wristwatch in the bedroom, the noise drives me crazy...
(had a GF with IKEA reading lamps above the headboard, couldn't stand the hum of those 230/12V plug in supplies underneath the bed either... )

I have scanned all of the pictures that I and my family had. Prints, negs, and slides. Thousands of them. Photos going back a hundred years or more. Thank goodness I had them to scan. I used an Epson V500 scanner. Better to take the time to preserve what you have even though it may not be the best method. Better to have something than nothing.

These days, I save and catalog my negs and make multiple backups of all the digital pictures. I don't put anything in the cloud or leave it on my phone or hard drive to get lost.

I like this photo of my dad and his mom, dad, and brothers. May have been taken in Columbia in 1939 or 1940. My dad is the little kid in front smiling. I sure miss my dad. Sniff.

Four males and one female. Just betting Mom had the deciding vote. Great family pic!

Remember the black lights that showed every piece of lint on your shirt., at the roller rink and dances.
First year of college done and went back home for summer job. Dad says you have to cut your hair if you are coming back home so buddy and I rent a house for $24 a month, bills paid, and no hair cut. Had those blacklight posters all over the living room and blacklights to light them up. He and I both had Plymouth Road Runners. Local song leader at the country church labeled our place "The Sin Den."

Were the Road Runners jacked up with oversized tires in the rear. I swear your car was not cool then without air shocks and tires.
