Old Enough To Remember?

remember when you got caught by the police with beer in the car and they would make you pour it out alongside the road so everyone could watch and honk. Them tell you to get your butt home to find your neighbors saw it happen and already told dad.
In my case it was "jeez, you'd think your buddies in the back seat would at least stop drinking while I'm talking to you", but I still got off with a warning to get home NOW.

When you could put your bicycle in the trunk of the family sedan and close the trunk.

Had '69 chevy Impala, put washer and dryer (still in cardboard boxes) in the trunk together and was only about 3 inches from closing the trunk completely.

When throwing fast food wrappers out the car window was okay, that was just weird. Or shoppers throwing cigarette butts down in stores and stepping on them to put them out. Neither made much sense

I remember . . . piles of cigarette butts piled at the side of parking spaces when all cars had ashtrays and most smokers used them. Now'a'days while driving and smoking, the world is your ashtray! No need to mess up the car. :nuke1:
