Old Enough To Remember?

That Charger my friend bought? He let me drive it a couple times, and strangely turned out to be worse than the Pontiac! Cheap plastic and flimsy controls greeted every touch on the interior.
My brother had a Dodge Omni 024 same vintage, horrible car, and the mushiest shifter i've ever experienced.

Yep, you could taste the rubber and . . . the water was warm in the morning and hot in the afternoon since the hose had been laying out in the sun all day insuring a strong taste of it. I was the oldest of seven and our whole brood was kicked out of the house each hot and humid summer morning. We were only allowed back in for lunch and if we were bleeding! When thirsty - the hose was the only choice and . . . we liked it!

As a kid in grade school. If you got a new gum for Christmas or your birthday. You took it to school to show it off! No permission neededfrom the teacher. They only asked if the gun was unloades? Never checked to see though.

then you got in trouble for spraying your brothers, sisters and cousins when they visited:rofl1:!

When we were kids, it was nothing to run around outside with no shoes on, just bare feet and never thought anything of it. Now if I walk outside on the front walkway or the asphalt driveway, every step is like ow, ow, ow, just from really fine pebbles.. LOL

I grew up in the Caribbean, and I had one pair of shoes and no socks. Put the shoes on exiting the car at school, and removed them again as soon as possible on the ride home. Feet had about 1/4" callus on the entire contact area. I could and did walk on black pavement in the noon Caribbean sun with no problem. Now, I would wince at a small pebble.

Really. I can still walk on gravel, but step on one little rock on a sidewalk and instant agony. o_O

I still remember the cheesy little transistor radios that picked up 3 or 4 stations and goofy bed ass biker movies on 305s that we watched at the drive-ins, after seeing how many people we could hide in the car. Did fit three in the trunk once with spare out.

I remember pay toilets in some of the restrooms around here. They probably still have them some places. I don’t remember why some were pay and the one next to it wasn’t . Maybe it was supposed to be cleaner.

Interestingly a system that resurfaced over here... helped conditions and cleanliness only to a degree though...
You'll either have to consummate beverages at the shop to get a token (interestingly the highly expensive refueling alone is not qualifying) to insert mentioned (or a coin) at a turnstile barrier, or tip some drone guarding the entrance (seems like some outfit though...)
In smaller stations you'll still have to ask for the key... ;)

Or my favorite two," The Painters work was all in Vain the $#/+ house poet has struck again". And "It may not be the Redcross but it was relieving. Old enough to remember ,when reststop Graffiti made sense to me.

'Why did Wilson Pickett?'
