North America "WILD CARD" TAG

Wow....I never thought posting the lift bridge in Duluth would create soooo much discussion. But, happy to introduce riders to points of interest in my great state. Enjoy the ride!

I think its awesome. Learned more about bridges this week than I have in my lifetime. Been near the one you had in the picture when I was in Duluth years ago when I made my way to Aerostich to pick up my suit in person. Didn't mean to start anything negative with my question, just something more accessible.

I, too, really enjoy learning all the things. And... seeing all your local locations. There is a lot of riding to be done and an vast continent to do it in. And we must ride on...

Old Tag: Truss style Bridge
This one would have been similar to the center section of a vertical lift bridge, the part that would be "lifted". (I tried to tie it in...)

New Tag: Old Gas Station (Service station, mercantile with a gas pump, etc.)
Existing with pumps or, like this one, long ago abandoned, re-purposed, abandoned again, and now dilapidated. But, I can still imagine it in its heyday. Probably one of the social centers for this rural community. (Farmington, WA)

(4 miles of dirt/gravel road for this shot... time to wash my girl)

Old: old gas station

This is Crosby's Crab Shack, which was once a service station. . .

Old: exquisite view

Sorry, my mountains are smaller.

I've been told size doesn't matter. [no comments]

BTW -- I've seen every episode and all the movies. Love the General Lee.

This one the signatures of all of the original cast on the dashboard. Also a museum inside. . . Here are some pics from a previous visit. .

Matching old tag: something famous. Circled in red is the Deaton Sculptured House (aka - Sleeper House, Jetson House):

That is as close as one can get to it as the roads leading to the neighborhood are blocked by security gates.

The new tag is the word "bell" clearly visible:

Enjoy!

Good to see you 'in the game' Tim!

After I saw your speedway post, I thought an hour away is a speedway, the weather is nice, and it says North America, so I drop everything and ride. Maybe the big beaver thing is a bit excessive, so we need to simplify that?

Exactly the purpose of the game. Drop everything and ride... I don't think any change needed in the beaver thing. Someone near Oregon State University area should be able to make quick work of it. Beaver, WA also has one. They're out there...

Here is the same spot I took that photos yesterday, now today a near record rainfall and thunderstorm...

and Todd, we would not expect less from you:cool:

I am glad, I am living up to both your expectations.....:rofl1:. Let the hunt begin.........:rocket1::hat3::headbang::eat1:
