MY 91 ST1100 Rebuild Thread

Hey Stuart-- On you wire videos you had a mini heat gun thing you used on the heat shrink tubing.... that looked really handy. What is it and where can I get one?

Thanks

The little blue thing? It's just a gas lighter. I got it in a service on the way to Amsterdam one year. It was only a couple of bucks. Should be able to find them

ebay linky

Oh okay, it looked like a special Moto tool and would be on the gotta have list. I have a full size heat gun that works fine, but it's kinda bulky.
BTW, I am enjoying your resto thread, more coming?

Helpful information, thanks! My 91, as in my avatar, is down at 134k miles for the infamous 40a upgrade, as it stopped charging on my rode home from work back in October. Planning for a trip to Western USA this summer, assuming this is all working correctly.

Hi - I have occasionally wondered how you were doing on your project.. What's happening now?

Wow, she looks good! Any pics of her without the plastic? Would like to appreciate what you did underneath. Is that a voltmeter under the headlight adjuster?

Hi, the seat I brought a custom made, however the cover split. I sent it to Tony Archer in the UK and he recovered it. The left side has a digital temp gauge, and the right side is a volt metre

Nice looking seat and I really like the color.
