MY 91 ST1100 Rebuild Thread

I normally resize to 800x600 or 1024

Another option is to show the thumbnail instead of the full size pic.

And, thanks for the spaces between pics... makes viewing them much easier on the eyes. ;)

Stuart is your cam covers are still off could you do me a huge favour and take a photo of where the cam reduction gear sits underneath the two cam shaft gears? Thanks!!

So Lots of little things done to the bike in the last few weeks on and off. Currently working on the rear end, and installing an aux fuse box. The loom is back on, along with front stay and with steps

You're doing a cracker jack job of refurbishing that Pan.
Best of luck on the completion.
Looking forward to seeing pics of the completed project.

I dont suppose you know an ignition live from fuse box?
Sorry, I don't have an 1100. This post is for a 1300 but might give you an idea for an 1100. Sooner or later somebody here will have some good pertinent info for you.

Thanks, I dont suppose you know an ignition live from fuse box?
Sure. Pull the fuse box out. There are two slots on the back that you can plug a male spade connector into. Direct contact with the buss bar for switched power. BTDT many years ago. It’s been the switched power to trip the relay for my aux fuse block located in the rear, underseat compartment. I can dig up a picture if necessary but look first... should be easy to figure out. I did install an inline fuse between the fuse box and the relay of course.

Few more bits of loom making today. Have just ordered some more meshing, as I have run out of the smaller diameters now. I'm off on holibobs for the week, so when I get back I will finish that up. I also got the paint for the main bodywork today. I have to go back with a large grey plastic piece so they can match that up.

Good job, Stuart (or is it Keith?),

Reminds me of doing almost the very same thing over 20 years ago on my ST1100. Six circuits in my install and all still working perfectly. One difference - I don’t solder, just quality crimps. Interesting bit new to me is a relay with built-in fuse. Great idea, will have to get one for the kit.

Thanks for documenting. Inspiring!

Thanks guys. And yes it's Stuart! However, I reply to Keith lol. In fact at my current job, when I started there were 4 Stuarts' in total, so I call myself Keith, as it makes it easier for customers to ask for me! :)

In regards to the relay, yeah. I came across it by accident. In my opinion, it's one less point of failure to worry about adding to the circuit, and makes it neater as well.
