Mellow's Summer Trip

Dennis, when heading to Arches NP I suggest you take 6/128S off I-70 (I think it's the first exit in UT). It's a beautiful road w/twisties.

Fred,

I have been through there before. Familiar with your route. It is a very nice ride into Moab.

Gug,
Surely you are not going to take I5 in Oregon rather than the Pacific Coast Hiway?!
If/when you get near Alberta give me a shout and maybe we can meet up for a bit.

Rod

That is the route Google pulled. I will be using PCH into California.

Hey, George does this all the time, I figured I'd give it a shot.

==================================================

Nice route Joe. If you get lost and find yourself in Des Moines I will,,, as ACL would say, "Buy you the first drink of your choice!"

Dave C

Are you off yours pills? You give everyone 14 days notice to plan there attack. Have a great ride buddy.

LOL. . we also have 14 days notice to plan for it.

That looks like a good ride, Joe. Try to stay off the interstate for the most part if you can. The scenery is a bunch better that way. Enjoy the ride!!!!

Enjoy Joe.....look like a great adventure!! Have fun!

I'll be at the Moki Dugway and replace Putt's Memorial canister then over to Moab.
So Putts Memorial has not been there. My sons and I were there last month on our annual "Trippin Connies" run and could not find it. We were disappointed we could not find it and sign it.

Not sure when it went missing, George said it was missing in this thread so we need to replace it.

My oldest son dug up the thread before we left and he said he would take us right to it. We looked all over the spot and the area around it, nothing. Well I guess I should have reported it missing when we got back but we weren't 100% sure since it was our first time there. It is a beautiful spot though. Have a safe trip Joe.

Joe, That looks like a route that came about with a great deal of thought. I don't see much Interstate. Have a blast.

Time to take another ride to Texas...tag Joe's car...maybe his cat...maybe his neglected ST!

Enjoy the ride Joe!!!

You should try and squeeze in the 14 up through Shell Canyon to Burgess Junction, then back down the 14a on your way to Chief Joseph and Bear Tooth.....
